Bout For Griner - 15 American Spooks Left Behind

Russia’s spooks have achieved a feat previously thought impossible. They figured out the Americans’ weakness and brought them to the negotiating table. Yes, for once, the Russians gained the upper hand in an encounter with the US.

Russia and the US have conducted a high-level prisoner swap, involving businessman Viktor Bout and WNBA star Brittney Griner.

Experts have yet to definitively rule on whether or not Griner is actually a dude.

Bout had been in a US prison for 11 years serving a 25-year term, while Griner was sentenced to a penal colony in Russia on drug smuggling charges.

The swap took place at Abu Dhabi airport in the United Arab Emirates, following lengthy negotiations between the two countries, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“Washington categorically refused to discuss including the Russian national in the exchange scheme. Nevertheless, the Russian Federation continued to actively work on rescuing our compatriot,” the ministry noted.

US President Joe Biden has already spoken with Griner by phone, according to media reports. Both Griner and Bout were pardoned by their respective nations before the swap, which means they won't need to continue serving their terms at home, TASS reported.

The funny thing is that Russia wanted to trade 15 American spooks for Viktor Bout back in the day.

Russian officials have offered the US to exchange Viktor Bout, a Russian national currently serving a prison term at a US correctional facility for up to 15 US residents serving sentences in Russia, his wife Alla Bout said during a press conference held at the Russian Consulate General building in New York.

"They offered 14 or 15 people to be swapped," she said. "The Russian government has made attempts to conduct an exchange. They offered 14 or 15 people," Alla Bout noted. According to her, the US government refused the offer, stating that those citizens "are of little interest" to them. She added that the US stresses that Viktor Bout "will serve his sentence as a warning to others."

"What 'a warning to others' means is clear: arrests [of Russian citizens by Americans] continue, speculation continues — if you don’t make a deal with the prosecution, you’ll get 25 years, like Bout," the wife stated. "This does work, and this can be used to their advantage."

But the US wasn’t interested. Bout was too valuable. All that flew out of the window, however, when Russia imprisoned a person of privilege.

Now we all know the score: black lives matter more to Biden and the American Deep State than even the lives of spooks and zogbots. This is not speculation on my part, because as the NYT noted, a more important prisoner was not swapped out.

The release on Thursday of Brittney Griner, the American basketball star imprisoned in Russia, also puts a spotlight on Paul Whelan, another American imprisoned in the country, and President Biden said that the administration was continuing to work for his release.

Officials said that Ms. Griner had been released after Mr. Biden agreed to a swap for Viktor Bout, a Russian arms dealer known as the “Merchant of Death,” who was in prison in the United States.

The Biden administration considers Mr. Whelan tantamount to a political hostage, a view that it also held of Ms. Griner.

“We have not forgotten about Paul Whelan, who has been unjustly detained in Russia for years,” Mr. Biden told reporters at the White House on Thursday. “We’ll keep negotiating in good faith for Paul’s release. I guarantee that. I say that to the family.”

Mr. Whelan, a former Marine who became a corporate security executive, was arrested at a Moscow hotel in December 2018 and accused of spying. He was convicted in June 2020 on espionage charges that the U.S. government says were manufactured.

Whelan’s story is somewhat interesting in its own right. Not as interesting as the story of Viktor Bout, mind you, but still worth a mention. [EDIT: Bout’s bio is a total black hole. He’s got some pretty eccentric metaphysical views that I would probably agree with though. I think he’s a GRU man.] I started delving into Whelan’s background when doing my homework on a young rising star in the Russian opposition, Roman Yuneman. It turned out that a young politician in Russia had ties to the same company that Whelan had been working for before his arrest. The wife of Roman worked at the same company as Whelan, an affiliate of the American-based company Kelly Services, a staffing company, apparently. Also, both she and Roman appeared to have suddenly acquired a lot of money out of nowhere - enough to set up their own fully-staffed political party in Moscow and have old-time opposition figures lining up to shake hands with them.

I thought this was highly suspicious at the time, which was what got me digging in the first place. The company in question seemed to have a lot of strange shenanigans going on around it. I postulated that Roman had come in for a try-out and had been selected by a CIA front group in Moscow to run yet another opposition psy-op project.

Anyways, Whelan, a former marine with four passports and kompromat hanging over his head for stealing from the US military, was caught red-handed with a flash drive that had a spy info dump on it. So that means that Whelan was definitely a glow-in-the-dark spook agent. And he was a veteran to boot. But, despite all this, as it turns out he was worth less to his employers than some WNBA star. It’s amusing, really. This is proof of how little the Great Satan cares about its own people. Furthermore, it opens an interesting new strategic opportunity going forward for Russia, should they choose to take it.

Now that we know that SJWs rule America, Russia can start arresting Western blacks and holding them captive for a premium. America, bound by woke ideology as it is, will be forced to hand over valuable prisoners like Viktor Boot and others to recover their precious negroes. And this ideological obsession with melanated individuals cuts across party lines. Donald Trump personally intervened to rescue rapper ASAP Rocky from Swedish jail when he got into an altercation on the streets of Stockholm with Sweden’s cat lady ruling classes’ precious Afghan boy toys after Kim Kardashian came to the White House to beg for his help. Both Rocky and Kim ended up voting Democrat, by the way.

This story also reveals that behind all the bluster coming from both sides, high-level talks are still being held between the US and Russian governments.

High-level talks on the issues that really matter, namely, the fate of Brittney Griner, lol.

And finally, the greatest irony of this story is that Griner refused to stand for the American anthem back in the day. In contrast, she had nothing but good things to say about Russia. Russia’s oligarchs were paying her and her friends 4x the going rate to play in Ekaterinburg. Why? Even the Washington Post is baffled by the whole set-up. But they provide lots of interesting details like how an Israeli spy was the one who set up the club that Griner played at. Also, this part:

Markus also noted that UMMC’s oligarch owners, Makhmudov and Kozitsyn, “were active in the weapons business until recently and have close ties to Russia’s orthodox church, which itself is intertwined with the state” — all indications they are close to political power. But “the arrest of a U.S. citizen is very likely a Putin-sanctioned act,” Markus said, speaking generally of the arrest of high-profile Americans. So even if the UMMC bosses were working behind the scenes to free Griner, he said, “these two oligarchs would not have any influence against Putin.”

The real crime here is that Russia’s oligarchs were spending obscene amounts of money on women’s basketball and inviting American WNBA stars to Russia. Why though? No one watches women’s basketball, least of all in Russia. I assume it was a money-laundering operation, but even then that doesn’t explain anything, really.

Point is, Griner was literally treated like a princess in Russia until, one day, she wasn’t. And while I’ve made fun of Grimey Griney quite a bit in this article, I haven’t seen actually seen her badmouthing Russia in the media.

So … yeah …

I almost feel bad for her getting swooped on out of the blue. I even had my vape confiscated at the airport as well (nicotine, not marijuana) so I can sympathize with her on that point as well.
