The good news? Russia has, apparently, started producing enough shells to make up for the supply deficits that started in the later summer and fall. Progozhin thinks so, anyway.
The bad news? They are being withheld for political reasons from the front.
So, once again, I must be the bearer of bad news and inform you that the guy in charge of the most active front of the war is telling you, straight-up that:
People in the Russian government, especially the MoD are deliberately sabotaging the war effort
That there are literal traitors to Russia in the government
Hundreds of Russian soldiers are dying because of this
Prigozhin has been the bearers of bad news before. He candidly admitted that Bakhmut was nowhere close to being a done deal. He also said that it would take 2-3 years, not 2 weeks to break through to the Dniepr river.
There were also rumors that General Surovikin was removed from his post because of a concerted anti-Wagner action on the part of Shoigu and the others. Prigozhin, again, hints that this is true. That Surovikin provided him and his men with ammo and that this stopped when he was removed.
Prigozhin has also said multiple times that the fighting is tough. That the Ukrainians are not getting easily slaughtered, but putting up stiff resistance. So, if you still cling to the idea that Russia is fighting an attrition campaign against NAZI!!! zombie hordes where they just blow them to bits from a distance, you are in direct contradiction with the man who has been fighting the hardest ever since Kherson was abandoned.
