FSB Implicated in Hare-Brained Scheme to Fund Black Nationalists in America
It all checks out.
Get ready to have a hearty chuckle. This is a hilarious story. It could be fake, but somehow I doubt it because it checks so many boxes. Either way, I choose to believe it is real.
According to the superseding indictment returned in the Middle District of Florida, Aleksandr Viktorovich Ionov, a resident of Moscow, was the founder and president of the Anti-Globalization Movement of Russia (AGMR), an organization headquartered in Moscow, Russia, and funded by the Russian government. Ionov allegedly utilized AGMR to carry out Russia’s malign influence campaign. Ionov’s influence efforts were allegedly directed and supervised by Moscow-based FSB officers, including indicted defendants Aleksey Borisovich Sukhodolov and Yegor Sergeyevich Popov.
“The prosecution of this criminal conduct is essential to protecting the American public when foreign governments seek to inject themselves into the American political process,” said U.S. Attorney Roger B. Handberg for the Middle District of Florida. “We thank our partners at the FBI for their tireless investigation of these events and their commitment to ensure justice is done.”
Among other illegal activities, the superseding indictment alleges that Ionov, Sukhodolov and Popov conspired to directly and substantially influence democratic elections in the United States by clandestinely funding and directing the political campaign of a particular candidate for local office in St. Petersburg, Florida, in 2019. For instance, the superseding indictment alleges that Popov expressly referred to this effort on behalf of the FSB as “our election campaign,” and Ionov referring to the candidate as the “candidate whom we supervise.” Ionov and Popov allegedly intended that this election interference plot would extend beyond the 2019 local election cycle in St. Petersburg, and subsequently discussed that the “USA Presidential election” was the FSB’s “main topic of the year.”
Moreover, from at least November 2014 until July 2022, Ionov allegedly engaged in a years-long foreign malign influence campaign targeting the United States. As a part of the campaign, Ionov allegedly recruited members of political groups within the United States, including the African People’s Socialist Party and the Uhuru Movement (collectively, the APSP) in Florida, Black Hammer in Georgia and a political group in California (referred to in the superseding indictment as U.S. Political Group 3), to participate in the influence campaign and act as agents of Russia in the United States, including the following indicted defendants:
Omali Yeshitela, a U.S. citizen residing in St. Petersburg, Florida, and St. Louis, Missouri, who served as the chairman and founder of the APSP;
Penny Joanne Hess, a U.S. citizen residing in St. Petersburg, Florida, and St. Louis, Missouri, who served as the leader of a component of the APSP;
Jesse Nevel, a U.S. citizen residing in St. Petersburg, Florida, and St. Louis, Missouri, who served as a member of a component of the APSP; and
Augustus C. Romain Jr., aka Gazi Kodzo, a U.S. citizen residing in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Atlanta, who served as a leader of the APSP and a founder of Black Hammer in Georgia.
One focus of Ionov’s alleged influence operation was to create the appearance of American popular support for Russia’s annexation of territories in Ukraine. For example, in May 2020, Ionov allegedly sent a request he stated was from “Russia, the Donetsk People’s Republic” – an apparent reference to a Russian-occupied region in eastern Ukraine – to Yeshitela and members of other U.S. political groups to make statements in support of the independence of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic, a Russian-backed breakaway state in eastern Ukraine. Ionov later allegedly touted to the FSB that Yeshitela’s video-recorded statement of support was the first time that “American nonprofit organizations congratulated citizens” of the occupied region.
Ionov’s use of the APSP to promote Russian propaganda relating to Ukraine allegedly continued after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. On the day Russia invaded Ukraine, Feb. 24, 2022, Ionov allegedly emailed Nevel an “URGENT MESSAGE” which contained pro-Russian talking points in support of the invasion. Thereafter, throughout March 2022, the APSP repeatedly hosted Ionov via video conference to discuss the war, during which Ionov falsely stated that anyone who supported Ukraine also supported Naziism and white supremacy, and Yeshitela and another APSP member allegedly made statements of solidarity with the Russian government.
Ionov, Sukhodolov, Popov, Yeshitela, Hess, Nevel and Romain are charged with conspiring to have U.S. citizens act as illegal agents of the Russian government within the United States without providing prior notification to the Attorney General, as required by law. If convicted, they each face a maximum penalty of five years in prison. Yeshitela, Hess and Nevel are also charged with acting as agents of Russia within the United States without such prior notification. If convicted, they each face a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison. If convicted, a federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
Now, first and foremost, we ought to ask ourselves whether or not this story passes the sniff test. If you assume that the FSB is a super-competent organization of big-brained masterminds cynically plotting to destroy the US through the skillful use of 5D chess, then this couldn’t possibly be a true story. The good-guy spooks are too clever to ever be caught. They’re like Bigfoot or aliens - always one step ahead of us average humans.
But, if you believe, like I do, that the average razvedchik is, at best, a tepid Bernie Bro, or worse, a Liberal Moscow NIMBY gated-community social striver who desperately wants to be considered cultured by his social betters in Moscow and the West, well …
It makes sense that the FSB would, because of its ideological worldview, prefer to work with non-White grievance groups. From my experience getting interrogated by lower rank and file Russian spooks, I went away from the interaction thinking that these people were extremely ideologically warped and insanely misinformed about the West. They seem to genuinely believe that they’re up against Anglo-Saxon-Fascist-Crusaders like RT propaganda would have you believe.
Also, would the FBI really shut down a black grievance group in America if they weren’t somehow involved with the Chinese or the Russians? These people are untouchable!
By the way, check out the new RT diversity hire:
Fiorella Isabel aka ‘El Atrocidad’
She is the daughter of what almost certainly were illegal Messican immigrants who spent her 20s engaged in ethnic grievance activism in LA, voted for Joe Biden in 2020, and now lives in Moscow telling Americans that they’re bad Imperialists and that Russia loves its negros better or something idk, who even watches RT.
Yeah, I’m sure she’s got a message that will resonate with the American people. Also, I’m convinced that she only got the job because she’s uglier than Margarita Simonyan, who refuses to hire women better looking than herself. Quite the feat, I must say.
This goes a long way in explaining why other Deep Staters in Russia support Black Nationalist groups like The Black Hammer. Here's a good rundown on some of their recent political activism. It reads like a comedy sketch by Dave Chappelle:
The FBI raid on the Uhuru Movement’s St. Pete headquarters last month appears to have been touched off by a suspicious death in suburban Atlanta 10 days before and the subsequent arrest of a self-aggrandizing former Uhuru leader.
Recent revelations have put the spotlight on Gazi Kodzo, 31, who moved to Atlanta after being kicked out of the Uhurus in 2018, and started running a liberation group called The Black Hammer Party that critics have derided as cult-like.
Driving the news: A street gang investigator from the Fayetteville, Georgia, police, testifying last week in a case unrelated to the July 29 raid on the Uhuru House, confirmed that the FBI had long been watching Kodzo.
The FBI alerted the investigator after she started a local probe into Black Hammer over allegations members were harassing college students in downtown Atlanta for donations. It was prompted by an article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that detailed the group's meteoric rise during the George Floyd protests, its far-right messaging and calls for violence against police.
The latest: Police arrived at Kodzo's house on July 19 to respond to a 911 call about a kidnapping and found a man dead.
Kodzo and Xavier "Keno" Rushin, 21, were arrested and charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, conspiracy to commit a felony, and taking part in street gang activity, days before the FBI raided a handful of other locations connected to Black separatist organizations.
Kodzo was charged with sexually assaulting someone, which the investigator alleges was part of a pattern, a way underlings gained rank in the group.
What they're saying: "This is an incorporated political organization," Kodzo's lawyer, Stacey Flynn, argued in court last week, disputing Georgia's label of Black Hammer as a street gang.
Flashback: Kodzo was a regular at Tampa Bay-area protests — from speeches at BLM marches to targeted demonstrations, including the one in which Kodzo jumped on a table at the City Hall Stairwell Mural Public Art Project Committee in 2016.
After several years of activism here, Kodzo moved to Atlanta and started Black Hammer. Recruiting and political tactics got more theatrical, with live-streamed performances and giveaways. Kodzo dressed as the Joker in one anti-Antifa video.
Fast forward: The Justice Department is now alleging that Kodzo and Black Hammer took money from a Russian influencer named Aleksandr Viktorovich Ionov, according to an unsealed federal indictment.
The FBI arrested Ionov late last month for secretly funding Black political groups and directing them to "publish pro-Russian propaganda" and "cause dissension in the United States and to promote secessionist ideologies."
The charges: On Ionov's dime and at his bidding, the FBI says, a handful of Black Hammer members flew to California to protest outside Meta's HQ over Facebook's Russian restrictions.
Based on Ionov's indictment and on social media posts, Kodzo's Black Hammer espoused pro-Russian views against Ukraine and used Russian money to try to form an independent nation-state, Hammer City, in the Colorado Rockies.
Of note: The Uhurus — who also appear to have had contact with Ionov, per the indictment — aren't accused of any wrongdoing that wouldn't be considered protected speech.
The movement, a group founded by Omali Yeshitela, unabashedly supports Russia in its war against Ukraine.
You can totally see some old sovok officer in his Moscow office coming up with this scheme and checking all the Marxist boxes before signing off on the hare-brained plan. Does it denounce Fascism? Check. Support Third Worldism? Check. Doomed to fail? Check, Check, Check.
And, of course, the unspent part of the already allocated budget then gets scooped back up by a few well-placed spooks. They write up their report, fulfill their serious spy-work quota, pocket some money, and everyone is happy!
Obviously, the winning move would be to engage with normal American conservatives and populists and not waste time on freaks. All you would have to do is hold talks where normal Russian academics or public intellectuals spoke with normal Americans and stressed the similarities that the average Russian and American share and the prospects for mutual cooperation as well as the agenda of the people pushing for war between the two peoples.
But, unfortunately, this scheme is not hare-brained enough and doesn’t tick any ideological boxes. Therefore, it hasn’t been done and won’t be done in the discernible future. Russia’s spook class has swallowed their own propaganda kool-aid and are now convinced that America is a White Supremacist nation. In effect, they are indistinguishable in their worldview from SJWs and DNC operatives. Unfortunately for them though, the American spooks are much better at convincing other Americans and other nations that Russians are the real Fascists.
This angers the sovok, who would rather be destroyed than be mislabeled as a Fascist by people who hate them.
Case-in-point: patriotic Russian pop-singer “Shaman” came out with a new clip recently that got every single sovok in the country seething. Can you tell why? It should jump out at you immediately.
You’ve heard of Shaman, presumably? He released a popular clip at the start of the SMO that went viral. Z-people were sharing it everywhere.
I am Russian
Here’s the new clip:
And here are some of the reactions from old-timers to it:
Just as we like it. A blond with a faded haircut, heavy boots, cloth around his arm (at least it is not black white and red) singing “Gott mitt uns” in the chorus. Stalin would have shot him. And he would be right to do so. Released on Hitler’s birthday, no less.
Lol. Shaman does indeed look like an Aryan super-soldier and 4/20 is indeed Hitler’s birthday, and Shamad does indeed sing “God is with us” in Russian as part of the chorus. Also, he is blond, which angers the sovok, who prefers to be told what to do by black-haired, slope-browed Pontids.
You have to understand that half the appeal of Navalny was that he actually looked somewhat Russian, which sadly cannot be said about the chinovnik class of the USSR or the RF. Shame he was a CIA agent and a crook.
Another reaction:
Angry sovok frothing … How can he call himself Shaman and stand next to a Church - very bold of him … blah blah blah
Look, Shaman is an artist, and all artists like Hitler, who was a spurned artist himself, and all successful populist movements throughout history have been led by either religious or artistic leaders. Them’s just the facts.
Naturally, the sovoks would have prefered a clip of an angry black nationalist dancing along to a Boney M. song with Cheburashka singing the chorus. They’re apoplectic that the Ukrainians are now calling Russians the real Fascists (they like the term Rashists) on the internet again. The opinions of Russia’s enemies matter oh-so-much to them because their self-identity is based on being a moral superpower and everyone else recognizing it. Yes, really. That is how a significant chunk of 50+ adults in Russia conceive of themselves and their role in history and the world political arena. This is why Lavrov can get away with going up there on the podium and talking about how the MFA was simply too kind and fluffy and trusting of the West, which keeps leading Russia by the nose.
It makes me happy to see the Sovoks seethe and not get their way.
Shaman should run for President.
I'd like to add that Shaman is like the only pop-artist who didn't flee to Israel.
And he gets called a Fascist for wearing a Russian flag armband.
For shame.
This is just yet another case of projection from the American deep state. Literally every single shady/illegal thing they do they project onto Russia and China.
Since 1945 the US has used groups like the OSS (later CIA), USAID, NED and other CIA funded NGO groups to spread propaganda and undermine the regimes of foreign governments. They just flip the names and say "No YOUR deep state is trying to influence US".
Of course the FSB is nowhere near this competent and if they had half a mind they'd just do this anyway seeing as either way they'll get accusations thrown at them. Anglin on the dailystormer.in wrote a good piece about this today.
At this point other countries should just take these stupid accusations as cues to what they should be doing. China should immediately start sending arms to Russia and fentanyl to America since that's what they're being accused of lol.
