Good News! Russian Zoomer-Patriot Successfully Avoids Getting Cancelled By University Liberals!
You guys deserve some good news.
Since I left things on a sour note last time, I figured I’d throw the readers some good news this time instead as a form of apology. I’m thinking a 2 bad news 1 good news format going forward so that I’m not responsible for demoralizing my readership. We gotta have some W’s to keep up the morale.
Russians are starting to push back against the Liberal rot in the academic institutions on a grass-roots level.
So, without further ado …
From Readovka:
A St. Petersburg student was harassed by classmates for his negative attitude towards liberals who support Ukraine.
A student of the St. Petersburg branch of the Higher School of Economics, a native of Perm, Mikhail Googe, received an unequivocal reaction from his classmates in response to a post dedicated to liberals in his Telegram channel. In it, he stated that people “who can only stick up funny leaflets, draw decolonial maps and dream of setting fire to military registration and enlistment offices, can only be looked down upon condescendingly.”
In the comments to this post, insults, calls for expulsion and provocative questions began to appear. Mikhail's fellow students accused him of fascism, asked why he was still not at the front, declared their collective desire to see Mikhail's name on the lists of those expelled, and in every possible way demonstrated that the opinion of their fellow student had no right to exist.
“The real problems began when the same people started asking me all the same questions in the stream chat, switching to open insults, humiliations, saying that I was a Permian provincial, that I needed to study at a vocational school,” Mikhail notes.
Is modern Liberalism just perennial big city elitism in another guise? The evidence continues to grow.
The young man said that his relations with most of his classmates became tense from the very beginning of the special operation, but things had not come to open conflicts before. Despite the flurry of insults that fell on Mikhail, he urges Russian students to maintain strength of spirit, stamina and respect for themselves, because Russia is behind them.
Earlier, a similar situation occurred with a student of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, who also became a victim of mass and aggressive harassment for publicly supporting Russia. As a result, two students involved in shaming a student were expelled.
So this is actually two victories in one. First, two Liberals were punished for the earlier attack on the young patriotic lad from Moscow State University.
Then, a follow-up victory. A young ethno-nationalist scored a big W against the Liberals who attacked him for making fun of them. Instead of being cancelled for being a Russian patriot, the tables were turned on the would-be Liberal oppressors when Googe (pronounced goh-geh) took to Telegram to share his story and got picked up by patriotic media.
This is a big deal. This never happened before. It means that the jackboot may now well and truly be on the other foot in Russia.
Also, Googe looks very pleased with himself. Some serious smug vibes going on here.
This young man is literally the Zoomer meme come to life:
Lol, sorry, couldn’t resist.
More good news: our boy got featured on Soloviev’s very mainstream, older demo, Telegram channel.
This means that the foundation stone in the Boomer-Zoomer bridge of friendship has finally been placed. As future ethnark of Russia, I will, like the Soviets, construct parks in every city commemorate the friendship between the nations generations.
Also, I know Googe personally, as a matter of fact. In fact, we had an internet spat over some reason or another about a year ago. Competing media projects often butt heads, it’s just a part of the brutal all-against-all struggle for internet clout that comes with the territory, I suppose. But that’s all water under the bridge now. Googe is an ethno-nationalist and Russian patriot who got Russian patriotic media to rally behind him and that is all that matters now.
These two stories have shown a light on the absolute state of Russian higher education and the cockroaches have begun to scurry out of the light. We need to have this discussion in Russia. We have to address this problem. This is all part of a positive trend of pointing out anti-Russian centers of influence within Russian civil society.
A bit more on the story:
The scandal at the journalism faculty of Moscow State University did not have time to die down - a similar situation arose at the St. Petersburg Higher School of Economics. A student of the Faculty of History of the St. Petersburg branch of the Higher School of Economics began to be insulted for a post in which he condemned the liberals and wrote that today they "lost everything that could be lost."
"Mikhail Googe is a history student who moved from Perm to St. Petersburg and transferred to the St. Petersburg branch of the Higher School of Economics for intra-academic mobility. After publishing a post on his channel in the faculty chat, he was asked to "cover his face,” to be expelled from a "disgusting liberal university", they called him a "clown", they wrote that they "are waiting for expulsion together" and "there is no place for fascists in the HSE".
Hopefully, Googe keeps up the pressure and we get some more expulsions.
But, of course, the real problem comes from the professors themselves. The entire Liberal Arts faculty has to be purged, in my humble opinion. This sounds like an extreme position to take, but I’m willing to bet that this is a conversation that Russia will be willing to seriously have very soon.
Every small victory is a victory . There are many many westerners who support Russia at this time especially, and russia's defence of your own people .
