The evacuation of residents in parts of Belgorod has been announced. I’m sorry, but the footage is undeniable. All sources are reporting the same. No, this isn’t a clever feint. Thousands of people are being forced to abandon their homes and this is just the start.
A few weeks ago, I speculated about whether or not Belgorod would have to be evacuated and concluded that Moscow didn’t give enough of a damn to resettle the Russians there getting raided and bombed and harassed by criminal mafias (gypsy gangs have descended on the area like human locusts). Obviously, the decision to evacuate is the right one. The better decision would have been to GUARD THE FUCKING BORDER. But if we are choosing between lesser evils, then getting people out before they’re bombed to death or caught in a merciless crossfire is the right thing to do.
The implications of the evacuation are grim though.
