Russia's Elites Want to Repeat the Mistakes of the 20th Century
USSR 2.0 but with capitalism and Uzbeks!
I have been watching and waiting and eagerly anticipating cultural reforms or some kind of renaissance of Russian identity as a result of this Not-War. On the level of the people, on Telegram channels, and with new artists like Shaman, we’ve definitely seen a rise in national self-consciousness.
You may not like it, but this is peak Russian performance.
I remember when I wrote articles about a year ago eagerly exploring the possibilities and quoting people like Dugin who called for such urgent ideological updates to be uploaded to the collective psyche of the Russian people.
“Only a matter of time,” I thought to myself.
But, keeping to form, the Kremlin has stubbornly kept to its rhetoric of claiming to be fighting the idea of nationalism in general (much like the war on terror waged by Bush) in the name of “multinational values”. Sadly, Putin has decided to double down on this rhetoric instead of distancing himself from it. I thought that once his speechwriter moved to Israel Putin would show some spine and conviction in something for once but, sadly, he has not. He recently once again said, “Diversity is Our Greatest Strength (tm)” and that Russia is fighting for the values of diversity and tolerance while he accused the West of being Nazis because of course.
Oh, sorry, that was from 2020. Here he is a couple of weeks ago:
Yes, Russia has non-Russians. No, diversity is not a source of Russia’s strength, but a weakness that has led to unrest, pogroms and revolutions in the past. The Bolsheviks weren’t Russian, after all:
Actually, it occurs to me that Putin’s rhetoric sounds a lot like the views of the Nazi collaborator General Andrey Vlasov of the ROA.
See, the Germans were very keen to affirm all the minorities’ of the Russian Empire’s rights to self-determination, but worked hard to deny the Russians the same rights. This is the exact policy of the current RF government and has been so ever since Yeltsin dropped all pretense of being a Russian nationalist, or a Russian for that matter.
Believe it or not, but Yeltsin ran on a platform of Russian self-determination once upon a time. That was literally how the USSR was toppled, actually - Yeltsin went out there and demanded that Russians stop being milked to provide for the development of non-Russians. Many well-meaning Russians rallied to his cause. He was like the Prigozhin of his time, calling out blatant corruption, anti-Russianness, and the banal inanity of the late USSR. But, when he took power, well, we all know how that worked out. His entire cabinet ended up looking a lot like Joe Biden’s, let’s just say that. Here, I name names and bring receipts in this article:
Alas, it is a myth that the Nazis wanted to free the Russians from the Bolshevik yoke, by the way. They wanted to destroy the Russian Empire through the use of the same divide and conquer tactics that were employed several times against Russia already and to rule over the pieces. The Austrians encouraged Galician regionalism as an alternative to Russianness back in the day, for example, and this particular social-engineering project has never stopped paying dividends for antii-Russians, as we can see for ourselves. As for the northern Germans, they went on to fund Lenin and then his government in its early years because they wanted to knock Russia out of the war by getting rid of Kerensky, who was in the employ of the British. Also, Germany betrayed the White movement when their need was most dire in the civil war that followed. The Whites seemed to think that the Germans were their allies or something.
As I always say: wishful thinking and seeing secret allies and patriots in your soup always leads to disaster.
It is a good thing that Russia has learned her lessons though.
…
Oh wait, actually, the Kremlin is literally arming regional armies from the Caucasus, a region of Russia well-known for their loyalty to Moscow, and in Tuva, where our intrepid Minister of Defense and former anti-Russian gangster hails from.
The Kremlin is also allowing oligarchs to assemble their own armies. Soon, every CEO will have one. Surely, this won’t turn out badly. No way, no how.
But if it does, we will be forced to say that Russia did indeed deserve it. Or rather, that the people reaped what the politicians sowed. Germany’s policy towards the Russian Empire comes to mind as an example of what I mean.
Now, I don’t ever try to justify the USSR’s war crimes against the German people, let me just say that right now. It was appalling what the ethnic Bolsheviks did to the Germans that fell into their hands. And Morgenthau’s deliberate starvation of the Western Germans was even more semitic and grotesque and obscene. Also, I am not trying to moralize at Germans because they get enough of that without me chipping in.
I’m just saying that the Germans’ leadership let the German people down.
As I am sure you know, the psychopaths who ruled Germany before Hitler came to power installed the Bolsheviks into power in Russia with the help of Uncle Sam and the ethnic banker mafia. We can now ask ourselves: what were they thinking funding the ISIS of their day in the form of the Bolsheviks? It’s like, wow, lets put a bunch of psycho-criminal-ethno-terrorists in charge of a great power with millions of men and natural resources on your border and let them run loose for three decades.
What could possibly go wrong?
The same thing is going on now with Russia’s elites. With every decision the Kremlin takes or doesn’t take, I find myself chuckling sadly and saying aloud, “gee, what could possibly go wrong?”
Like, take the Donbass and cities like Kharkiv, a Ukrainian city, formerly known as Kharkov, a Russian city. It is quite the story what happened there. Pro-Russians had the city in the palm of their hands, but then a delegation from Tel-Aviv visited Moscow, Kiev and Kharkov and the matter was settled.
But, don’t take my word for it.
Meet Moses (Sergei Moiseev).
I know I know, yet another Moses telling us what to think … when will it end.
Moiseev is one of the key figures in the Donbass rebellion from the early years. He was one of the main organizers of the storming of the government buildings in Kharkiv. If he had been successful, the city would be Russian today and I would still be writing Kharkov. Moiseev has been described as “a rock” by other patriots who are solid on the key questions, so, difficult ethnic background aside, we ought to give the man’s words a chance to speak for themselves. Moiseev identifies as Russian and is very serious about his Orthodox faith. He compares the three east Slav nations of Ukraine, Belarus and Russia to the Holy Trinity and considers it a sacrilege that their unity has been broken.
Now, like all the Donbass rebels, Moiseev’s movement was betrayed by Moscow and by the “Russian” oligarchs, who literally got a call and a visit from Tel-Aviv with orders to shut the Novorussia project down. And so, the Kremlin and the oligarchs who run Russia and Ukraine came together to do just that and then again to sign Minsk I and II. But don’t take my word for it, allow me to provide you with the personal, first-hand account of one of the men who led the Kharkiv rebellion against Kyiv (formerly known as Kiev) and what happened afterwards.
His interview also gets into the new cultural product being promoted by Russia’s elites, and, the prognosis is grim, naturally.

You know, I go so deep and bring so much fresh information to the table in this article that it boggles the mind, frankly. No, I am not exaggerating for effect. Not even a little. You have never read anything like this presented anywhere in English media covering Russia. Truly, this is pioneering work. Because of this, I refuse to share it with the undeserving and ungrateful masses. The mind and soul simply rebels at the very idea. If you knew the amount of time and effort I put into these, well …
Now, I know what you are thinking.
“Rolo is shaking us down, again! The nerve!”
Actually, no.
I asked for 1k a month and you guys delivered on that.
So, we are square as far as I am concerned.
No, this is about giving back and giving thanks. I would show myself to be uncourteous and ungrateful for not delivering the goods to the people who showed their interest in learning more, going deeper, and seeing the truth, unvarnished and kept far way from jingoism or unintelligible superstitious gibberish.
I want to give back to the patrons and give them something truly worthwhile for their support. Paywalling this article is an act of love, actually. Only they will get to stalk deeper into Slavlands with me past this point. Everyone else, see your way out the door, if you please.
Thank you.
