Car crash, typically by a truck, has been typical method of liquidation in countries where is preferable to abstain from obvious murders.

Its not too difficult imo to see why FSB would have murdered him. The Russian leadership are scared enough that they are now passing laws against "encroaching on the life of a public figure" , they are passing new anti extremism laws etc. These were announced in the context of protecting the military but lets be real, the military has public support right now. Its specifically the political class that people are getting pissed about, take Dugins recent remarks for example. Sure he walked back what he said but its a bad sign for Russias elite that he even went there to begin with.

But right, you have see this haven't you Roy?

The Russian authorities apparently are worried about a possible insurrection enough to make some new laws. It looks to me like they are scared of a military coup and they should be. The military is the one group in Russia where I can easily see the population supporting a seizure of power.

If my theory there is true than I would be surprised if FSB wasnt getting proactive in murdering public figures who were criticizing Moscow too much. All the stuff about the negotiations that coincided with abandoning Kherson, the economic concessions to Russia, the growing public anger at the authorities, new laws against insurrection and protecting public figures all of this coinciding with Stremousovs death looks suspicious. I mean maybe Stremousov really was harmless, but seems the authorities are scared and when they are scared they will do stuff like murder patriots.
