Ukrainian - The Language of Overthrow
How linguistics are being used to destroy the Slavic people.
So, Putin gave his first speech, the great “Meh Address” as it has come to be known by Russia experts. However Putin spoke again about the dangers that Russia faced a few days later. His speech was a bit better this time around.
He basically made the whole morality argument again: that Russia is more moral than the West. A point that we have heard many times before. He seemed a bit confused? during the speech, actually, and stuttered and wasn’t his usual high-level orator self. But maybe I’m just reading too much into it.
That’s not really the point of this article, regardless.
The only part that I really liked was where he laid out the Western plan to break up Russia further and force a war of all against all. Like many, I believe that Ukraine is a part of a larger Slavic urheimat that ought to be united and that our enemies try to divide us and pit us against one another. Putin hinted at this, but he didn’t provide the details of the enemy plan. Sketching the danger that Russia faced in broad strokes, he said that, basically, the enemy wanted to foment even more Slav v Slav violence and to rile up non-Slavs within the Russian Federation as well.
But you have to become a Slav to get the real details behind this story. Trust me, it’s worth the 5 bucks.
