Wagner Update: All Quiet on the Belarussian Front

Because Prigozhin is in Africa now.

Some idiot on Gab (redundant, I know) says I owe him a book because Wagner was dismantled and Prigozhin is under house arrest therefore I was wrong about everything and bla-bla-blah. Naturally, this is totally and completely wrong and just more of the same kind of weaponized stupidity that I and other sane analysts are routinely subjected to on the internet by schizophrenics.

You know, there’s a saying that I’ve heard old-timers share before that applies here: anger is the result of talking to stupid people, they say. The more I think about it, the more I realize it’s true, which is funny because talking to the generation that says this phrase drives me up the wall with frustration! But today is not a day dedicated to me shaking my walking stick at my elders. No sir, that is not my plan.

Today is dedicated to Wagner and Prigozhin’s bright future as a powerful PMC … in Africa.

I recently came across the reporting of Bellingcat analyst Christo Grozev who claimed to have inside information about Wagner on Twitter. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn’t, but I can tell you that my method of simply going onto Telegram and doing a keyword search of “Вагнер” got me pretty much the same results in literal seconds as the investigative journalist guy. Unlike Grozev though, I’m not paid obscene amounts of money for doing ctrl + f searches on Telegram lol. So let’s simply compare (and contrast if need be) the information available about what Wagner is up to nowadays.

Before I get into the Grozev Twitter thread though, let me take the chance to shed some light on who the man is and who he worked for in the past. It doesn’t really relate to Wagner, but it’s interesting nonetheless.

Grozev is a wanted man in Russia, even though the charges against him are secret.

Yet another honest face.

He worked for Alexei Navalny and the two of them tried to take down Patrushev, the top FSB spook sitting on Putin’s Security Council and one of the main planners (alongside Bortnikov, Finklestein and Kovalchuk, possibly) of this wildly successful and ongoing special military operation in Ukraine. The Ministry of Internal Affairs put Bellingcat investigator Khristo Grozev on the federal wanted list. "Mediazona" found this in the search database of the ministry.

The card says that Grozev is wanted "under the article of the Criminal Code." Which one exactly is unknown.

Hristo Grozev is an investigative journalist and Project Manager at Bellingcat. In particular, he, together with the team of Alexei Navalny and other journalists, investigated the poisoning of a politician. Investigators found that eight employees of the FSB Institute of Criminalistics were involved in the poisoning.

In July, the FSB accused Grozev of aiding Ukrainian intelligence, which, according to the agency, was planning to hijack a Russian military aircraft. The department did not report on the initiation of the case and its qualification.

Grozev himself said that he did not participate in the operation of the Ukrainian special services, and together with the Bellingcat team he was preparing an investigation into the attempts of the FSB and the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine to deceive each other.

According to him, Ukrainian operatives turned to Russian pilots with a proposal to overtake a military aircraft to the territory of Ukraine in exchange for money and citizenship of an EU country, and when Grozev's team found out about this, they decided to make a documentary film about the operation. Soon, Ukrainian intelligence realized that FSB officers began to conduct negotiations on behalf of the pilots.

Sounds like Grozev was trying to film yet another propaganda expose of how corrupt the Kremlin is, this time by pushing the angle that the Russian military and by extension the MoD is selling Kiev equipment on the sly. It wouldn’t surprise me to hear that he was cooperating with the SBU or GUR to film this, which is what he appears? to be accused of. Nor would it surprise me to learn that the Shoigu MoD does indeed make dirty deals on the side. I know for a fact that UAF servicemen and the Donbass militias used to sell each other equipment that both sides would then pretend was either “captured” or destroyed. If you’re a regular soldier who understands better than you or I ever will just how nonsensical and stupid this conflict is, you might shrug your shoulders and just sell the APC and split the profits with the boys as you head home and claim it got destroyed.

Again, this did happen many times and was caught on camera a few times as well, back in the pre-SMO days.

More interesting is the angle that Navalny and his Bellingcat team of spooks-for-hire, headed up by Grozev used to go after Patrushev, who again, is Russia’s top spook/silovik and therefore a very juicy target for someone like Navalny who is supported by Russian oligarchs and Western spooks to go after. They alleged that Patrushev had arranged to have Navalny poisoned on a plane. Do you remember that incident? It was all the rage in Western media for a few weeks way back when.

To find proof that Patrushev had ordered the hit on intrepid freedom fighter Navalny, they arranged a kind of sting wherein they called the FSB assassins pretending to be a secretary of Patrushev. The Insider ran a huge report about what happened on the call. Here:

In a previous investigation,The Insider and Bellingcat named the employees of the NII-2 FSB involved in the poisoning of Alexei Navalny. Today we are publishing the confession of one of the poisoners, Konstantin Kudryavtsev, who talked to Alexei Navalny (thinking he was talking to Patrushev's assistant) and told many details of the assassination attempt. Among other things, he explained that Navalny's life was saved by the actions of the pilots and atropine administered by the ambulance, and also specified that the poison was applied to his underpants, and the traffic police helped the FSB officers to clean up the traces. Recall that earlier Vladimir Putin had already de facto validated the results of the investigation by The Insider and Bellingcat, when he did not deny that the FSB officers mentioned in the article were near Navalny on those very dates. Now, I have no idea what actually happened. Frankly, I don’t think that Navalny was even poisoned at all. They claimed that it was a kind of airborne pathogen at some point, but nobody else on the plane chimped out and started screaming like Navalny did mid-flight. Then they said that the poison was slipped into his drink:

Whatever happened, Navalny lived and didn’t seem any worse for wear. Frankly, I think that the Russian spooks cooperated with the whole bizarre episode in some capacity.

The only reason why I bring this up is to point out that, surprise surprise, like literally every single person I ever write about on this blog, Grozev is a spook asset (recruited by the CIA all the way back in the late 80s and 90s to promote Western propaganda) working for a spook outfit named Bellingcat, as is Navalny, and as are the alleged FSB poisoners as well. To be anyone in this modern game of thrones, you have to be a spook of some kind, clearly. The rest of us truly are just peasants watching on the sidelines that the spooks try to trick into supporting one faction or another with the aim of sowing division amongst us and to undermine any natural peasant solidarity we might have.

Finally, anyone who tries to speak the truth about the spook state gets called a Fascist, naturally. Sorry, but I just can’t help reiterating the main theme of this entire blog (that the Slavlands are run by spooks and crooks) any chance that I get.

OK, OK, digression aside, let’s get to Grozev’s Bellingcat investigation of Wagner.

The narrative that he paints about the early days of the Not-War are interesting, but I have no idea whether or not he is telling the truth. The story about the Redut PMC guy passing out with secret plans on his person checks out though because it was reported by mainstream news.

It is interesting to note that the main lesson that the Kremlin took away from the Wagner incident was to create more PMCs, not to curb the power of this new caste of spook-mercenary-warlords that they are creating who will tear Russia apart in the near future through turf wars that will eventually become civil wars. As I have explained before, the Kremlin hates and fears the military in Russia, which is why they have worked so hard to dismantle it under Serdyukov and then Shoigu’s terms as Defense Ministers and to create an American-style mercenary military. You may not know this or believe me when I tell you this, but the gang of spooks and crooks that took power in the 90s coup fears the military caste and the patriots in Russia far more than they fear the Anglo-Satanists. If you understand that Russia is run like an LLC and that the elite were trying to make it into a cheap copy of America in every sense of the word, this makes perfect sense. America, after all, is not a country, but a business, that is to say, it is an oligarchy, unfortunately.

And oligarchies always dismantle national armies and prefer to rely on private, professional militaries that they can deploy on looting missions abroad and to suppress the peasant population at home. Look at what they did to the Russian military. Look what they are doing to the American military. This is a perennial pattern that constantly repeats throughout history.

Anyways, the main takeaway from his report is that the MoD PMC is still trying to steal away Wagner’s commanders and men, but mostly failing, which checks out.

All in all, this means that Wagner is alive and well.

And now, lest I be accused of repeating CIA lies uncritically, here is what a large pro-Z Belarussian channel called “Belarussian Silovik” (silovik means spook) had to say about the Wagner situation:

It is quite logical that after a long silence and a sharp outburst by Yevgeny Prigozhin, questions about Wagner, their participation in the SVO and their future fate rained down.

I will say this: most of the personnel of the "musicians" do not know what they will do in the near future. Their corporate is built in such a way, which, in principle, is the correct way.

I also wrote that the next place of work of the "orchestra" will be (https://t.me/belarusian_silovik/19378) Africa, and participation in the SMO zone is not being considered. Same as what Grozev said.

By now, as you can see, nothing has changed. According to my information, some of the fighters went back to the SMO zone to other units, having concluded contracts with the Ministry of Defense. They were paid without any problems and most parted on good terms, they just feel that they are more needed [fighting] in Ukraine. And in Africa, such a large contingent is not needed.

By the way, Belarus also has many interests in Africa, cooperation has been developing for a long time.

It is the result of him adding the Soviet-style Belarussian logo to the original Wagner skull template:

This makes sense because, as we all know by now (I hope) Wagner was offered a contract by Lukashenko and then moved the bulk of their forces to Belarus.

The spook again:

The Wagner camp in Belarus is a mini-city. No seriously. The traffic is such that the feeling of being on a busy street does not leave you. A car repair shop, a medical unit, car shops, a sports ground and only a bunch of gloomy men in gear and with weapons return you to reality.

Since then, they have doubled their efforts in Africa and landed new contracts as well, as both the Western and Belarussian spook on Telegram can confirm. Also, the screenshot of Prigozhin above is from Africa, apparently, according to the Belarussian spook.

Here’s what Prigozhin said in his latest video:

“We are working. Temperature +50°. Everything we love. The Wagner Group conducts reconnaissance and search activities. Makes Russia even greater on all continents! And Africa even more free. Justice and happiness for the African peoples. Nightmare of "ISIS", "Al-Qaeda" and other gangsters. We hire real heroes and continue to fulfill the tasks that were set and to which we made a promise that we would cope.”

➡According to my information, the video was filmed in Mali, where Wagner now has one of its main bases, and from there it will start moving around Africa. Judging by the words of EV, the "orchestra" came to make things happen.

Case closed.

We may not know all the details, but we know that Wagner is still around, Prigozhin is free and making money, and best of all for Wagner, they no longer have to fight in Ukraine anymore and lose tens of thousands of men and beg for supplies from Shoigu.

The Not-War is being wrapped up anyways, so they are not needed on the front and there won’t be any new push on Kiev from Belarus, clearly. Besides, the real money is to be made in Africa and the Not-War has revealed that Russia is just an LLC run by an incompetent board of directors and not a serious country with anything resembling coherent state interests after all.
