Where's the Lie, Though?

Video has surfaced on Twitter of a Russian soldier telling it like it is:

Here’s the full text:

This fucking war, guys – just so you fucking get it – is not a war for the Ukraine. It’s not a war for gas, for furs, or for NATO – fuck, not even for Crimea, not for any of that shit. This is a war for the future of the white race, for the future of white civilization, for the future of white Russia. If we fucking lose, that’s it. There will be no more Russia – fuck – no more of our civilization. The white – fuck, it will be the end of all white civilization on the planet. Because we are the only ones left! Because the ones that once said before, like “we are the white race!”, like white Europe, white America – where are they now?

Experts have analyzed and concluded that his claims are both factual and accurate.

Arabs, fucking niggers, chinks – they’re seeping through every fucking hole. Even fucking faggots of all kinds. Fucking men in dresses, fuck, sucking niggers’ dicks. What’s all that for? Where’s the white race? Where’s the pure white blood? Nowhere! And that’s why the world will be ours. That’s why. That’s why it’s all happening now. We’re the last stronghold of the what man. This war is for our blood, for our genetics, a war so that our great nation continues to exist. So that the great white Russia lives on. So that there’s a future for the white man. This is what we’re fighting for. So yes, only the white Russian man, a mighty warrior, can fucking build the glorious Russian empire. Experts have also asked anyone who disagrees with this erudite soldier-scholar’s claims to prove that the West is NOT, in fact, being swamped by arabs, n-words, and yellow people.

As for the assertion that men in the West wear dresses, experts have directed the public’s attention to the following picture proof:

That’s why we’re here. Not fucking Kiev, not any of that bullshit. For a Russian Russia, a white Russia for Russians.

I’d crack a joke about him being a dedicated reader of The Slavland Chronicles, but I’m nowhere near as explicit about my views as this intelligent young man is because I’d rather stay on Substack for awhile if I can.

The people on the interwebs who support Russia, but pretend that the special operation in Ukraine is an ideological war against Nationalism in all its forms are going to have a hard time explaining this one away. Chances are they’ll condemn this man or just ignore the video because they view it as damaging to the narrative that they’re selling about Russia.

It really shouldn’t be a secret, but it may come as a surprise to some, I suppose, that most of the people in the Russian armed forces are young men with right-wing views.

Is this representative of a large segment of Russian soldiers? Actually, yes. And I have an adventure series based on interviews I did with a young Russian soldier coming out soon to prove it. Stay tuned.

In contrast, the higher-ups are ideologically wedded to some sort of neo-Soviet ideology or at least aesthetic. If I could describe the attitudes of the higher-ups in the military through the use of symbols, it be would red stars, red flags and Jesus all mixed together. If you read my articles on the Sovok and Bariga generation, this should make sense, intuitively. We saw their tastes on display at the unveiling of the massive new military cathedral a few years back.

One of our boys spliced together the original of this video, btw. You can tell because it uses the Warhammer 40K Omnissiah track lol. Not something an older Russian fellow would be aware of or particularly partial to.

The aesthetic of the war cathedral is literally a mix of the tastes and attitudes of the two previous generations. There was also a controversy where some of the higher-ups wanted to put an image of Stalin in there. Thankfully, this neo-Sovok idea was squashed and an image of Stalin was not added, much to the consternation of some.

In fact, the entire saga of the construction and decoration of this particular cathedral really was the perfect example of the conflicting attitudes present within Russian society. They bickered bitterly, but ended up compromising with one another to come up with something that they could all agree on. In the end, like I mentioned before, they settled on the Red Star, Jesus and statues of famous Imperial officers.

Now, students of history know that the Red Star was the symbol of the Red Army, which fought the remnants of the Imperial Army, the Whites. They also know that the USSR was an atheist state and actively destroyed churches. Somehow though, none of these contradictions seem to matter. What’s important here isn’t historical or intellectual consistency, but creating a workable consensus within Russian society by taking the rather schizophrenic meta-political views of the Russian people and trying to somehow create a compromise ideology, aesthetic and narrative of history to get people to close ranks and fire in the same direction, basically.

Which is fine. Whatever works, really.

Sooner or later though, I hope to see the aesthetics and attitudes of the younger generation being added to the war cathedral to symbolize Russia’s growth and continued cultural development.

Perhaps the cult of the Russian Warrior Indomitable will be accorded equal reverence in the years to come.

And truly bright and holy is the cause of the majestic war. The winged Seraphims are seen clearly behind the shoulders of the warriors.
