I am not a Slav, don't intend to become a Slav, speak Russian, but sympathize with Slavs as part of the greater family under siege. Please don't revoke my Slav sympathizer status Mr Rolo.

They already call me a "Putin Versteher" which is the equivalent of something like "Hitler lover" :-p

I liked the Tuva article. That's what made me renew my slav status. Maybe other people would like more cultural/ historical stuff too?

Funny, I thought it was the exact opposite.

I mean most people here aren't Russian, so our understanding of Russia comes from James Bond movies and Call of Duty which give a very one-dimensional perspective. The Cold War (((hollywood))) propaganda still has lingering effects in American culture today. Hell, my wife didn't even know that Russia isn't communist anymore lol.

I think the people here are fascinated about Russian culture and history, and would be interested in more of that. It's a nice escape from anal-sex obsessed American culture.

I'll echo Samoan's sentiment. For me the religious articles were the icing on the Doomer cake and the reason I'll stay subscribed. I consider myself fairly well-read but that's from an early 90s education. Peter the Great and his interaction with the Boyars has little bearing with modern Russia. I know absolutely nothing about actual Russian culture and youve changed some of that, Rolo.

See my three articles on Russian history, as best I could do as an American. And it is a fascinating drama. The Russian people have been through a lot which explains ,in my opinion, current attitudes about the not war. Also the effects of WW II. And ethnic cleansing with spilling of so much Slav blood is happening again.

I will check your articles out.

No way, the Russian world is burning, there's no time to waste with culture, maybe only in more peaceful times. We're back to 1941, but it seems way worse...

It's high time to be seeking God! Holy Trinity, that is, as Orthodoxy USED TO worships it. Because: In 2016, in Crete, according to Kissinger's, satan enspired plan, with the help and participation of C.youknow.A, a folly "great" Synod took place. It was then when worlwide Orthodoxy fell, directly or indirectly, officially though, into the greatest heresy of all times: ecumenism (gnosticism, sycretism). Few took notice and even fewer had an Orthodox reaction, standing their ground, ceasing communion with the state "church" and getting bulled around for it. https://www.oac.gr/en/agia-kai-megali-synodos/message-of-the-holy-and-great-council-of-the-orthodox-church-p143.html As from then the Orthodox Church as one percepts it (priests, temples, gatherings, prayers), is no longer Orthodox but ecumenist, for it became a mere member of the World Council of Churches, consequently Chrislam, in view of one world religion, under satan's rule; the "orthodox church" it is now like a souless corpse... However, the One, Holy, Whole and Apostolic Church (=Truth, Christ) will never be defeated and till the end of times there always be a small number of [properly walled off] Christians who are guarding the "Hidden Treasure", the whole, entire and real Truth... In Crete priests "dumped" God and hell's gates burst open. It is after the spiritual jab in Crete that the Agenda went into supersonic gear!

My full comprehension of Russia exclusively stems from Annalena Baerbock.

It's true about the reading and turning away. I read your post's understanding very little from my midwestern 7th decade life experiences. My grandfather was European and a young reporter, David Brinkley, would stop at his house to learn what he could from Grandfather's letters from Europe during WWII. Your posts give me a peek into a world I know nothing about but think I should and from a prospective other than legacy media.

You must have been a comedian before being deported? I am a paid non-Slav subscriber, so we do exist and appreciate your Russian perspectives. But I have not yet aspired to become Slav. I don’t think I was ever a Viking in a past life. More Celtic ancestry than Scandinavian.

I really like your book and philosophy of Oligarchs and deep staters. Prior to your blog and excellent commentators, I was not aware Russia has same enemies as US. Keep writing. I write a lot on Substack but not as recognized as you. I feel good if my information only helps a few, although more would be even more satisfying. I don’t ever plan to charge a fee.

I am always fascinated by the difference between reality and what we are told about reality especially when it comes to the official narratives.

So I enjoy your debunking of the 5 D crowd and would like to see you continue to expand your insights further into Russian

/Slava land culture, history and current events.

The hardest steps I have seen for normies to take are to:

1. acknowledge the implications of all the official narratives being lies. This means that you have to immediately assume anything you are told by the media is a lie until proven otherwise. Few can take this step. I see most people on our side of the divide get suckered into the new thing then eventually realize it is another lie.

2. Understand that most of the dissident right solutions are feel good fantasies. I don't think the fantasists always lie. Many actually do believe their fairy tales but it creates a climate where hustling content creators can simply spout the most feel good opinion rather than taking the financial risk of being a downer.

It goes back to the Upton Sinclair observation that it is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.

So keep up the good work. Dealing with reality in an unflinching way will not as easily gain you mass appeal but you will have a lot less competition.

Ha ha ha! Proud to be a paid subscriber.

> Furthermore, many non-Slavs wish that they could become Honorary Slavs. My inbox is flooded with people begging me to confer this much-coveted status on them.

“How do I become a Slav like you, Rolo?” They clamor in a chorus.

Some think that they need to learn Russian. Others, that they must become Russian Orthodox. But they are all of them lost and misguided.

Verily I say unto thee - there is only one path forward into the light. Only one chance to slav your sovl.

You must become a paid subscriber. You must do this now. Every day that you do not, you only drift further into homosexuality and death.

There is simply no other way.

The problem is, when you tell people feel good stories, they come back for the dopamine, even if it's repetitive and false. But when you tell the grim truth, if people believe you, they only really need to hear it once.

It's good work though, so I recommend someone other than my poor ass helps pay for it!

I wouldnt mind seeing a meditation series or column. Honestly I struggle to calm myself and reach a true state; controlled breathing only works to clear my mind and frankly makes me sleepy.

The Tuva article was cool. As an American, we have our obvious racial and ethnic groups but it's really cool learning about our continent-spanning brethren. Theres a great deal of humor to be found in that Russians get the multi-culti crap when dealing with a restive, thuggish minority too.

I'm subbed, I'm subbed! You have unique material. But your situation reminds me of how I avoided becoming a "starving artist;" I was a lit major when I started college, but after the army experience, I decided to do something "relevant," and changed my major to business. So, on the one hand, I avoided suffering want, and on the other, I had to suffer many days of frustration and desperation, with but few of personal gratification and fulfillment. Hopefully, your monetary situation will improve. "Continue to march!"

Everything I know about modern Russia, I learned from the Bourne movies. But I live among Russians here in Canada. Russians of all sorts and backgrounds. Some were Ukrainians (apparently) who only identified as Russians until the Not War started. Some are older with traditional family values while others are younger and perhaps more opportunistic about western life (many got out during the lockdowns to Mexico or the Caribbean). Also read your blog to get a better understanding of Slav culture so keep that up please. At a basic level, I've found that humans are mostly the same but Russians, in particular, have been so demonized by the West that it has become laughable. If the Slavland Chronicles doesn't work out for you Roly, maybe you can become a Slayer of Narratives - you are really good at that.
