As far as I’m concerned, the world can now be divided into two camps: the pro and anti-Russia camp.
In the West, some people support Russia because of lingering Communist nostalgia. Others because they believe that Russia might be able to put enough pressure on the West to give them a chance to wriggle out from under the ZOG control-grid in the chaos. Some support Russia because they’re conservatives and perceive Russia to be conservative as well or they’re Orthodox Christians or they have Russian wives (although that would probably make them hate Russia more, to be fair).
Me, I support Russia because I am a Russian nationalist patriot.
As a Slav, I see the Russian state as the greatest achievement of the Slavic people - a vast, powerful empire that is armed to the teeth and filled with a population of brooding, sulky, but hilarious Russians who seem completely impervious to the fear of death and who, instead, often seem to seek it.
And I find that to be incredibly based.
But Commies are right to notice that there’s a lot of Red leftover in Russia. The Western Dissidents are also right to realize that their occupation government needs to be weakened before they can make their move. And the nationalists are righter than all of them put together, of course.
My view though, is that we should be able to put our ideological differences aside. We all want the same thing: Russia to win or at least to put up a good fight against the occupation governments of the West. Serious people are able to put aside their differences if they’re working and hoping for a common goal.
I don’t care what reason a person has for rooting for Russia, really.
See, ideology is a dirty whore that you can get to dance for you for a few bucks. I could make a Libertarian argument for supporting Russia just as easily as I could make a Libertarian argument for supporting the war against Russia. I could do this for every single political or religious creed under the sun from Nazism to Catholicism to the stuff that Harry Potter and Star Wars fans believe in. Believe me, people can arrive at any conclusion that they want using any ideology that they want. Well, to be more precise, clever ideologists can create a narrative for the peasants to believe and repeat if they are paid to do so by the people who hold power.
The only thing that matters is the final conclusion that people allow themselves to arrive at. In this case, the relevant criteria is whether they are pro or anti-Russia.
That being said, there are other bloggers that clearly don’t feel the same way. It’s their way or the Gulag. The Saker community seem to be particularly strict and seem to genuinely hate Americans despite writing predominantly for a Western audience. They’re also clearly ideological lefties.
In contrast, I’m rooting for the dissidents in the West. In a better world, there’d be literally no reason whatsoever for Russia and the West to be at war. If actual Americans like Tucker Carlson ran the government, it would be smooth-sailing for Russo-American relations. America could dust off Manifest Destiny and extend the borders of their civilization to the Panama Canal, while Russia could focus on reclaiming their ancestral steppe lands in Central Asia and reconstituting the Second Greater Hyperborean People’s Republic.
Ah, what could be…
Frankly, I don’t understand this sort of ideologized thinking and this approach to public relations. Wouldn’t it make sense to find dissidents in the West who hate their governments and become friends with them, regardless of what they believe and why? Wouldn’t it make sense to offer them a voice? Support them in some way? Enemy of my enemy and all that?
You don’t really see the US drawing firm ideological lines in the sand, do you? No, the State Department will work with and fund literally anyone with any ideology so long doing so advances US interests.
Bashar explained this in a brilliant speech explaining how the US operates:
I think that this is a very grounded way of doing things.
I may disagree with the end-goal of their agenda, but I appreciate the professionalism and whole-hearted commitment to the destruction of their enemies that the Western intelligence agencies and foreign policy establishment displays. Antifa, Nazis, ISIS, Homosexuals, Blacks, the US Empire will use anyone and anything to achieve their ends. Such pure commitment to best practice in the pursuit of world domination fills me with a sort of religious awe.
Frankly, there’s really no reason to demand that Westerners or anybody else believe the official Kremlin or Russian cultural consensus on anything as a prerequisite for cooperation with them. Let them believe whatever they want - so long as people are willing to work with Russia, regardless of their ideology, Russia ought to return the favor by working with them, if it is in Russia’s interests, of course. Forcing one’s view of the world on someone as a prerequisite for working with them is a terrible waste and a luxury that Russia cannot afford now.
Actually, believe it or not, Russia does not engage in “active measures” when it comes to meddling in Western countries’ politics. The US certainly actively does, but, after the Cold War, Russia totally scuttled their programs. As a result, they are always on the defensive. In practical terms that means that Oppositionists in Eastern Europe can always go to the US Embassy or to Western NGOs to receive funding for their political projects. Try and do the same with the Russian embassy in the UK or America and see how far that gets you. Spoiler: thrown into CIA prison.
Kind of a disjointed blog post today, I know, sorry. But in my defense, I’m setting myself and the readers up for the next big topic: a difficult article explaining Russia’s strange approach (or rather, non-approach) to espionage, the culture war and finding friends to work with abroad.
Stay tuned.
This was beautiful.
I constantly say the same thing. I support Russia, not because it opposes my enemies and weakens the GAE, bringing the day of liberation of my people closer (this of course pleases me), but because I really like Russia and want them to be a successful regional hegemony.
As an American, I am most upset our empire because it has corrupted manifest destiny. Instead of rightfully invading or uniting with Canada and the South, forming a great Empire stretching from the Arctic to the Panama Canal, it engages in "Internation Economic Transhumanist Imperialism" which is immensely gay and lame by comparison.
We could partition the world with India, China, Russia, Iran and Brazil, and instead we dick around like assholes.
The shitlibs support Ukraine, because it's in-line withe the regime, some progressives see the U.S. as the main instigator, the dissident Right is split, the NeoCons (Majority of the Republican party) obviously are rabidly ant Russian etc...I am not interested in changing anyone's mind. I am a Serb, and it's self explanatory. We were partially bombed in the 1999, because we were "little Russians"
Check out 2018 documentary on the YouTube called "A Snipers War" about the Serbian volunteer who was there since 2014.
