Mass Psychosis Envelopes Russia After Mobilization Order Issued
Elements of Russian civil society appear to be experiencing a psychological break following the news that Russia would start fighting a serious war against “NATO in Ukraine,” as the MoD has taken to saying.
We’ve had some crazy news coming out of the country. Just off the top of my head:
A would-be recruit shot his mobilization officer (recruiter)
A man burned himself alive in Ryazan shouting that he was against mobilization
A school was shot up by a guy with a Swastika t-shirt (14 dead, at least 20 wounded). The school was also #88. Was this guy deliberately trying to recreate the famous 14/88 meme number?
A bar was shot up just now in Moscow as I was writing this up. Unsure if it is in any way related, but thought it was worth bringing up.
And, of course, there was Liberal “reeeeee-ing” all over the country.
For example, some no-name rapper-retard dissed Donbass and said he’d fuck the soldier’s wives while they were at the front in a public provocation video.
Pozdnyakov (the Men’s Right’s Activist guy who organized a troll storm against Tanuki Sushi) said that the rapper got a visit from SWAT for his theatrics. Tanuki, by the way, has been forced to close down, which is good news indeed.
Also, Dagestan appears to be popping off. I don’t know if it’s real or nor, but some guy writing in broken Russian announced the beginning of a partisan campaign of sabotage that has 160k views as of me writing about it.
It reads “Assam Alaykum … we’re going to create a partisan movement to target infrastructure ONLY … don’t kill people pls, just target objects … we plan to expand operations into Russia proper … ra-ra-rah … we need sleepers so don’t share with anyone your decision to join us … etc.”
And there are videos of fat ninjas protesting the police:
But hey, it’s Dagestan, not one of Russia’s loyal Slavic regions. And this was entirely expected - Russia’s Muslim population is more a liability than an asset. The people pushing the multicultural talking point on Russia, whether they be in the Russian government or in the 5D dunce blogosphere, are utterly delusional.
I wholeheartedly approve of sending these Muslims to fight Russia’s wars. Disloyalty must be punished. During World War II, entire peoples were punished by the USSR for siding with the Fascists and exiled to Siberia, like, most famously, the Crimean Tatars. Anyone who does not approve of forcing them to fight to prove their loyalty to Russia or their deportation to Siberia and dissolution as a people should they refuse is a Nazi-sympathizer, as far as I’m concerned. Send every man (and woman too, for good measure) to the frontlines if these disgusting displays continue.

There’s also talk of NOT closing Russia’s borders:
Which means that they’re probably going to do it soon. There are people trying to flee into Georgia and Kazakhstan now, while they still can, and there’s been reports of BTRs sent to the border with Georgia, but just to manage the situation, apparently.
Me, I’m not so sure.
I think Georgia’s getting ready to start something too. There are American soldiers choosing to vacation in Tbilisi now just like there are droves of them that happen to be in Kharkov, Ukraine. The current moderate government in Georgia is under pressure from parts of their own Liberal terrorist population to actively confront Russia. Let’s see who wins out. I hope, for the Georgian’s sake, that the people with cooler heads prevail.

As for the mobilization effort itself, well, it’s leaving a lot to be desired. Soloviev, a popular pundit who mostly repeats Kremlin talking points on his primetime show on Channel 1, got together with Margarita Simonyan of RT to harshly critique elements of the mobilization effort.
But, this was all to be expected.
I have always maintained that Russia was in a state of bardak going into this thing and that any honest commentator knew it. I was more concerned about the direction that Russia would go following the announcement of the SMO. I was very pleased with the initial purgings and the hardening of rhetoric coming out of the Kremlin and the punditry. We were getting closer and closer to the unabashed ethno-nationalist gold standard of quality - when it came to rhetoric at least - that I firmly believe the Russian people deserve to experience. The language of ethno-nationalism being normalized in Russia by a beleaguered state forced to rely on the power of the people to survive would lead to a nationalist renaissance, something that I have been hoping for and predicting for at least three years now.
Learning that there are problems with Russia’s mobilization effort does not surprise me at all - nor should it surprise or demoralize you.
Mechanisms and institutions that have been left unused for decades gathering rust have now been brought out at a time of national emergency and everyone is acting surprised that the Russian mobilization effort isn’t working like a well-oiled machine. I’m more interested in seeing how the authorities approach the problems that have cropped up such as the issuing of sub-standard equipment, the calling-up of people that shouldn’t be called up, the disproportionate burden put on the regions and not the centers of Liberal parasitism like Moscow and so on.
Will the government pretend that these problems don’t exist, like they did with all the other problems and fuck-ups leading up to this critical point? Or, will they finally start leveling with the people and addressing the problems more-or-less honestly?
I only ask because the country is teetering on the brink of demoralization.
A military defeat in Ukraine, followed by an admission of the failure of the SMO to achieve its strategic objects, the rising influence of the dissident patriot bloc and now the less-than-ideal mobilization effort are all putting strain on people’s trust in the government. I think Soloviev is right - Russia needs to start shooting people. Preferably Putin orders the shootings of half of his cabinet and the chinovnik class. Calls to “do something to save Russia” are bound to only continue to rise within Russia and outside the government. A people that thinks that their government doesn’t have the competency to protect the country will get restless.
Forget about the freak liberals having their meltdowns in public. These people are nothing. They only have something because of the support that they get from the Liberal media and the institutional support that they get from within factions of the government. The Russian people hate these people.

The fact that Liberals are staging mini-protests all over the country is inconsequential and totally expected. Decades of the government allowing these activists free-reign in Russia and allowing their media to metastasize created this problem, but hey, bardak remember?
I’m willing to move on and stop harping about the media situation because the Kremlin has shown that they have finally recognized the problem. I will do the same about mobilization when the Kremlin fixes that too. I’m interested only in progress - in moving forward and neutralizing the mistakes of the past. In short, I’m interested in how they’re going to deal with these uppity Dagis - perhaps they ought to shoot them as Soloviev suggested pour encourager les autres - and how they’re going to deal with the traitor class in Moscow - spikes, heads, scaffolds - and then how they’re going to get the war machine up and running.
There are sure to be positive developments in the pipeline soon. If I were to make any predictions, I would expect a crackdown on disloyal Muslims, an actual criminalization of LGBTQwerty activity, and some prominent firings to at least appease the irate peasants.
The situation is electric. People smell great change in the air. Let’s strap-in and see what happens next.
I live in Moscow and do not see any psychosis.Only office plankton is alarmed. Russians increasingly view liberals as traitors. People hope that after mobilization a real war will begin in Ukraine.
