"Only after officials in Washington talked to their Russian counterparts did the surface-to-air system get shut down, allowing American aircraft to return and attack."

Well, they did say it's a "war of attrition" so why not seize the moment and do what's only logical eliminate any future opposition. In fact, the SMO sort of "cattle drives" all nationalists and spirited young warriors into the slaughterhouse, ironically the types of young men who like in the US pose a problem for the ruling elite. Maybe, that's why in the US the Navy is recruiting "trans-sailor's." And the Pentagon is all too willing to pay for transgender surgery. Be the best trans you can be as long as you're not a nationalist who's a bit too patriotic and a possible threat to the corrupt status quo.😁

This is what ISIS was all about, basically, the Arab version of what you describe.

" Here, both Prigozhin and the feudal lords are correct: they do indeed hate Russia and Russians and Prigozhin does indeed have political ambitions. And the people who stand behind him certainly do as well. "

Here Prigozhin is playing the " good cop " as he and the feudal lords all come from the same Happy Merchant dance troupe. If Prigozhin gets political power he'll just be another of the troupe in control. Pure cohencidence I'm sure.

that was clearly an unauthorized Wagner offensive in Syria. there was clearly an agreement between the US and Russia not to attack their positions. But how did the MOD "shut down" the S-300? Did they turn it off remotely, or tell Wagner not to use it?

Imagine if Yeltsin had the same oil prices during his reign, and the same longivity as Putin. Who would you think would be less worse?

We know Yeltsin was a man of action, just look at 1991 and 1993.

At least Yeltsin's "Ukraine policy" was much less worse than Putin's, as he got Ukraine "disarmed" of nuclear weapons without a shot or SMO...

Why does Putin allow Israel to take any military action it wants is Syria? Russia supports Assad, Israel bombs Assad , Russia says , thank you?

The DC neocons - on May 17 - continue to speak in more measured language; nothing like "total failure" - and they have Prigozhin as well speaking more soberly: "Wagner Group financier Yevgeny Prigozhin denied the MoD’s claim of territorial gains, however, and criticized the MoD for falsely portraying a retreat as capturing new positions."

The lovely Kateryna Stepanenko - who seems to be something like Rolo's counterpart in DC monitoring the Russian "information space" and milbloggers, etc reports that "One prominent milblogger complained that Russian forces must now react to Ukrainian actions, implying that Russian forces are losing the initiative "

Finally - this has not otherwise been reported: "The Kremlin reportedly accused three hypersonic missile scientists of treason" (Can't the Pentagon just call the MOD and have them send over the specifications?)

Hey, I'm just trying to help. The problem with your approach is that, at some point, you may get labeled as 5D-er-Light, i.e. trying to sit on two chairs so to speak, which will be close to impossible to recover from. As you know, it takes years to build reputation and just one moment to lose it.

Think about it. You are not Prigozhin, i.e. Putin's banker is not getting you gigs.

P.S. Either way, when the time comes, Russian Tsar will grant you entry visa.

Excerpt: Another Russian train derailment has occurred, this time in Crimea on Thursday, in what a number of Russian sources are describing as an act of sabotage. Crimean Railways said in a statement that the disaster was caused by "interference from outside persons"...

"Prigozhin never critiques Putin because that would be a very bad idea."

IMO no one critiques Putin because his reign in reality is already in the Past and he really doesn't matter anymore in power politics. That's why he is MIA, he is by now just a decorative figure... All this fight is about his succession, I really doubt Putin continues post 2024. It's obvious that Medvedev is being groomed to be his successor, unless...

"Should Rússia lose the war or accept a Versailles-type peace treaty"

Rolo you're getting some tips from my comments, yesterday I commented " I suppose Rússia will sign a humiliating, something like the Versailles treaty of WWI".

Thereby I ask you give me access to your paid posts as a gift.

♱ Rurik Christwalker ♱'s avatar

Nope. I don't take writing tips from commenters.

If you land me a good interview/guest, then we can talk.

Very interesting that you mentioned that - didn't I point you to Nikola Mikovic? I also sent you some materials through Riley, plus suggested Stanley Sheppard, etc. On top of all that, many people came here from TUR following links in my comments there.

So I'm looking forward to my complimentary lifetime membership - thank you in advance Rolo! Much appreciated!

We don't want Rolo to go bankrupt, for me I just want Marko back...And also to read Rolo's article about Shoigu and Tuva, because I like Varlamov's professional videos and I was already informed about the "shithole" Tuva's republic really is...

Hope you don't follow The Duran's approach had with you...

I tried the realist report days ago, because he had a really good interview with Riley. If you land there I will reclaim my prize. Besides I've been fighting the " GOOD war" for We and promoting your analysis in the Unz commentariat for months and before that at The Saker ( rust in peace)

But if you or Riley could bring back Marko to life I will forgive all your sins.

The Emperor has no clothes.

Rolo by now I'm going full Adunai about Putin, and I declare to you Putin is the worst leader of Russia ever. Maybe and only maybe (I doubt) he is slightly better than Gorby.

I defy anyone to contradict this.

I'm also a paid CIA stooge I don't care...

Your information is somewhat disappointing. It's perfectly obvious in the US that the Biden administration is rabidly devoted to the destruction of the US. The borders are open, criminal illegals are protected, energy production and distribution are stifled, everyday conveniences such as gas stoves are outlawed, and ordinary citizens who fight back against criminals are charged with felonies.

I was hoping that Russia would present a different picture, that at least the Russian government would be supportive of its people. It seems, if your description is accurate, exactly the same elites populate the Russian government as inhabits the halls of power in the US.

The seventh collumn's avatar

By this supposed facts, Russian elites are way worse than American ones.

John Moore's avatar

We have no elites, just play actors.

RonaldB's avatar

I'm confused as to how Russian elites are significantly worse.

♱ Rurik Christwalker ♱'s avatar

they're not worse, they're just not much better.

The seventh collumn's avatar

Show me someone worse than Abramovich from the american side...

The seventh collumn's avatar

This article, if true, just proves the MOD and Putin as supreme commander were and are in reality America's and now also China's bitches.

The seventh collumn's avatar

They even are ashamed to be associated with Russia. They act like the white liberals at black lives matter protests, always sucking ***** and pleading forgiveness from the Western elites while despising the Russian people. It will be a walk in the park if Wagner or even Kadyrov decides to march on Moscow.

♱ Rurik Christwalker ♱'s avatar

why are you spamming? stop spamming.

The seventh collumn's avatar

I won't post anymore about this subject, but it's a bit strange that after you write an article like this, absolutely demolishing Russian elites, you compare less negatively the Russian elites versus American ones. They are really indeed The Worst Of All Worlds.

The seventh collumn's avatar

Not spamming, just defending my argument, opposite to yours, that Russian elites are indeed way worse than American. At least American elites aren´t actively killing american people, unlike the russian ones with their people.

The seventh collumn's avatar

This article just shows that American elites called Russian elites to suck it up, and not the other way around.

John Moore's avatar

"Only after officials in Washington talked to their Russian counterparts did the surface-to-air system get shut down, allowing American aircraft to return and attack." Is this a misprint? A Freudian slip? The only way this makes sense is that these clot-shot filled “officials” in the swamp conceded something big to MOD, like other targets to strike. As Charlotte Ruse alluded, sociopaths are in charge of our military.
