Why are wars usually mismanaged: incompetence, corruption, a combo of both, or an unspoken insidious agenda not meant for public consumption. In this case, like with the US all factors are in play. That's one of the reasons military conflicts are so distasteful. When viewing these machinations from 30,000 feet above it becomes quite clear why no interplanetary intelligence life forms would want anything to do with a planet of gangster apes.🦧 Wars on this planet are mobster turf battles. Consequently, a handful of hoodlums profit immediately, while background deals are made with a slew of hoodlum apparatchiks who'll be rewarded later. The actual players or "patriots" are usually at best jerked around by bureaucrats, or at worst are collateral damage. So under these unfortunate conditions, it's natural for a patriot to baulk, especially if he sees grain and fuel being sold to the supposed enemy. He might even want to know why military force wasn't deployed sooner, before the "other" army had a chance to be trained and equipped. But I digress, what really is the problem for Russia is its strategic location and its plentiful natural resources the same "gift/curse" that triggers all military operations now and throughout our pathetic world history. China, with a billion and a half mouths to feed need and desire Russia's land and resources and so does the West. However, while Eurasia and the US fight over stuff the main concern for both warlords is controlling a population of billions. A very tough juggling act requiring the skill of extremely adept propagandists who are masters at psychologically manipulating populations worldwide via MSM and independent social media platforms. To put it simply, it's an "information war" controlling outraged plebs why the ruling thugs battle over precious goodies.

The real diffrence between Ukraine and Russia is that when Zelensky ordered ak47s being handed out to civillians in Kiev in the first few days they picked up the weapons and ambushed retreating Ukrainian units thinking the were Russian. (But atleast they fought). When Russia started to arming their mobilised soldiers there were numerous ethnic soldiers that shot their Russian comrades on the firing range or in the barracks. + the fact they have to resort to gang pressing convicts in suicidal under equiped assault detachments to gain any advance at all shows how low things have really gotten.

If Russia's conduct of the war is halfass, all the questions boil down to: Where did the other half of the ass go and how can it be recovered? Or is Russia just a halfass country?

Rolo, Riley, please allow me to answer all those 39 questions at once and with perfect clarity: Because there's a traitor at the helm of Russia - Putin! Non-OC character trained by Kissinger and Klaus Schwab in the 90s and put at the helm of Russia in 2000 when the West was in complete control of Russia.

P.S. Re 2014 - there is one very interesting comment by Stanley Sheppard under Riley's article on Dec 23, 2021: https://edwardslavsquat.substack.com/p/staying-cozy-inside-the-russophile/comment/4136167

Perhaps you could invite Stanley Sheppard to join you in the future in some discussions/chats?

Those eyes... Strelkov has spent too much time in the slavlands.

Thanks for the brilliant conversation

I recall listening to a podcast by the duo that call themselves RWA (Russians with Attitude) and they were claiming that Strelkov is largely irrelevant and hysterical. It’s interesting to hear this alternative view.

Excellent discussion! I agreed with everything., except "an old woman"(Rolo) and "She is a 4" (Riley).

The deputy is old himself, so he should have a woman within several years of his age. Judging by his picture, Riley is not exactly an Adonis (and that is good, as I do not like pretty boys).

But your assessment of Russian government officials and their wives with fake lips doing shopping in Paris is correct. Fake men like fake women.

I am looking forward to listening to the second part.

Thank you. Maybe Strelkov should also be asked some questions, such as why he interfered at all, at whose behest, and to what extent should his presumably idealistic ignorance accuse or excuse him for a considerable share of the subsequent bloodshed and misery.

It would be interesting to hear a bit more about Donbas than the lacrimose laments. Have the Russians captured the better part of the Ukrainian economy, or is it just a rust-belt? Are the people still mainly Communists worshipping icons of Lenin and Soviet tanks? Why does there still seem to be a frontier with the rest of Russia? Have the institutions and militia of the area not yet been incorporated into the army and institutions of Russia for some reason? Which crooks are actually in control and what are their interests in the rest of Ukraine and their connections with the crooks controlling Ukraine and Russia?

If there was a map of the interests and connections of the various oligarchs, would it explain which areas the Russian army has been allowed or prohibited from occupying? Maybe the war will continue until arrangements are agreed with the main crooks as to their future spheres of control, so we may disregard the speculation about military offensives and political settlements until that has been done.

Rolo/Riley, are you planning to call Stanley Sheppard for a chat? Can you let us know? Thanks.

Re how could they start SMO with military warehouses empty? Simple, they thought that Ukis would fold in a week, like Georgia Army did. Arrogance accompanies corruption.

I for one do not see the point of fighting for any side which would not offer me a government-subsidised catgirl. Hitler did it, he actively expelled foids from universities. Unfortunately, the real dissidents of the West - the Incels - are despised and spat upon. It's the opposite from the late-stage Soviet Union where common people doubted many core Marxist dogmas.

Regarding Strelkov... In 2014, Russia could either have remained neutral, or invaded the Ukraine. Yet what happened in reality? Putin annexed Crimea, and nebulous forces sent Strelkov in to stir an uprising in Donbass.

The result? The Ukraine started a rearming process both materially and ideologically, the Donbass was turned into a whipping boy, an advertisement for what happens to the enemies of America, and Russia kept destroying its armed forces. Under this model, Putin = Strelkov = enemy of Russians.

I laugh to see a deer hunting suit on military personnel that doesn't need to hide in the woods.
