No, I’m not being sarcastic with the headline. The sarcasm will come later in the article. If you still read the NAFO propagandists or, more charitably, the analysts, they’re all sounding the alarm and declaring an imminent looming catastrophe for the forces of Democracy Values Human Rights Dumbledore Good against the Moskal horde.

These alarmist positions were brought to my attention recently.

Here is an example of what I mean. He paints a very bleak picture for the UAF:

I usually only read one NATO analyst, the one guy who I think is trying to be objective in all of this (shan’t name him, don’t want him to get blamed for being praised by me). But you can see this alarmism on Twitter, on YouTube, on the actual media sites and the content that the other side produces. In fact, this isn’t the first time. It comes and goes in waves.

So, what gives?

Here I am telling you that things are looking grim for Russia’s war effort while the other side is admitting that it is all over for them?

Who are you to believe?

And, the much-larger bloggers eagerly plaster these articles and confessions from Kiev’s side and declare, “see, what did I tell you? They are admitting that they are finished!” Many of my readers are on the fence about who to believe. I can tell by their other subscriptions that they still read ZAnon and many of them admit so in private messages. But they’re starting to have doubts, at least, and they’re here to expand their understanding of the war.

Good on them.

These alarmist headlines from Kiev’s side are probably the largest cognitive obstacle that I face to getting people to adopt my perspective on the conflict. In contrast to Kiev, the pro-Moscow media never posts alarmist content. I’ve written about this phenomenon before several times, but I want this article to be the definitive explanation of what is going on that I can just reference over and over again going forward. Because this calculated alarmism has happened many times before during this conflict, and since the Not-War will continue for a long while yet and get tens of thousands more killed over literally nothing of any value, that means that it will happen again and again before this is all through.

So, from the top.

First of all, if you look past the headlines and look at the specific alarmist claims being made, you would know that they revolve around Chasov Yar.

This is a town in Donbass right next to Bakhmut where the fighting has moved on to and I haven’t written anything about Chasov Yar at all yet because it literally doesn’t matter and the fighting going on there is both dreary and depressing and actually very boring. Yes, Russia will probably take this little townlet eventually just like they did Bakhmut and Avdeevka. No, this will not change anything at all. There will also be no consequences on the strategic, political, or even on the smaller operational level.

But Kiev’s propagandists and analysts don’t treat it this way. To them, Chasov Yar’s eventual doom is a really big deal for some reason. That is what they are freaking out about now and why they are sounding alarms.

There are several reasons for this.

Getting More Aid Sent to Kiev

This is a tried and true strategy. We’ve seen it done multiple times. The shills start moaning that Putin’s horde is about to bust through to Kiev and then Berlin and that only a massive new aid package replenishing the arsenal of Democracy can stop this. It has literally never failed yet.

Getting More Clicks and Likes

This war is a grinding stalemate and has been like this since last summer when the breakthrough offensive by Kiev failed. People are tuning out and have moved on to talking about the genocide in Gaza or some other more interesting story. They need to get the numbers up up UP! Crying and flailing around accomplishes this.

Right-Winners and Left-Whiners

This is actually a symbiotic relationship between “right” and “left” personality types that needs to be understood in general by everyone anyway so I may as well use this article as the occasion to elucidate the concept.

Here is what I mean.

Right-Winners

For most generic “right-wing” personality types, it is of vital importance to always be winning.

Right-winners are not motivated by ideology, really. This is for the better because they are asked to change their positions all the time as the culture and the laws drift inexorably leftward. This does not concern the right-winner — only winning does. They just want to be the one who is pushing the boot down on someone else’s neck, essentially. And they always identify with other boot-pushers and cheer them on, usually. Yes, whenever right-winners see someone winning, they rush to support them so that they can be on the winning team.

Case in point: a large chunk of the population votes for the presidential candidate that they think is going to win for no other reason than that they can be on the winning team.

The corollary to this is that they will also never support a losing cause. Thus, it is vital that, for example, Russia be always winning at all times in the news to keep these peoples’ support for the Russian cause. It was the same phenomenon at play during the entire Trump term and even past his ignoble rout from office. On the campaign trail, Trump promised non-stop winning and, in the minds of most of his supporters, he delivered on that promise. This is because Trump-aligned media described every single bowel movement that he had as a brilliant maneuver that brought the Satanist-Libtards closer to Jesus Checkmate.

It is also why the Israeli-owned conservative media in America has chosen the editorial line that the Palestinian protestors are “sore losers”. The conservative media smears them as being “pro-victim” for a reason — because they don’t want right-winners to sympathize with them or their message. Israel, in contrast, is portrayed as the successful winner who simply breed resentment because of their superiority.

“If you don’t support Israel, that must mean you are a loser, actually. What do you have against winning, loser? Join the winning team, winner!”

All this is to say that the social-engineers understand the cattle that they rule over better than we understand ourselves. It helps to be humble in the face of their cleverness. You and I are not immune to their propaganda. We can only gain resistance by starting to understand ourselves better than they do us.

And, there are thousand lessons to learn in defeat, if you acknowledge it, while there are no lessons to be gleaned from victory.

The right-winners do not want to learn any lessons or change their behavior and they would rather convince themselves and try to convince others that they won rather than trying to win anything in reality. Thus, all the social engineers have to do is let them save face by building them a golden bridge to retreat across. Right-winners will dutifully retreat to the next pre-planned ideological stronghold further along on the slippery slope and await the next battle when their enemies will storm their positions again with minimal resistance.

And if there is no hope of winning on a certain field of battle, the right-winners will refuse to give battle at all. Or, worse, they will simply adopt the positions of the winners (their opponents) and claim that they supported them all along. More than anything, right-winners are very scared and upset at the prospect of losing something, so they choose their battles with great care. Or rather, the social-engineers choose the battlefields for them. And, if the right-winner feels that he can assume the posture of the winner in the situation, he will eagerly rush into the jaws of yet another easy victory.

Despite having conserved nothing, and living in an alien country with alien values, all right-winners everywhere are convinced that they are kicking butt and on the cusp of a great victory. Listen to how Alex Jones frames his message. The patriots are always winning, the plans of the globalist elites have been exposed, the noose is closing around their treacherous necks and so on. Twenty years of this triumphalism as the country has turned into a hellscape.

And no one notices.

So long as they are winning.

It is the same in Russia too. Talk to a right-winner there and you will learn that Russia didn’t lose in Afghanistan or the Cold War. That was just … something else! They had already won the war, actually, and just decided that they were tired of playing the game and went home, essentially. It is why they cling to WWII so strongly. That was a war that they won. But if you ask them to look around them and answer what exactly they won, you are in for a very bad time indeed.

In conclusion, right-winners don’t read this blog because it sounds like someone complaining about not winning hard enough.

Left-Whiners

Left-whiners are perpetual victims even though their ideology and their entire everything has won the day and dominates civil discourse, official propaganda and so on in all of our countries. Despite this, the left-whiner is a perpetual rebel pining to be given a good thrashing by a right-winner. Constantly battling against the Evil Empire as a member of the Rebel Alliance, even though the Death Star was destroyed a century ago.

I think the best treatise on the mentality of the left-whiner was written by someone else though, so I’ll just quote him.

“Those who are most sensitive about "politically incorrect" terminology are not the average black ghetto-dweller, Asian immigrant, abused woman or disabled person, but a minority of activists, many of whom do not even belong to any "oppressed" group but come from privileged strata of society.”

And:

“The leftist is anti-individualistic... He is not the sort of person who has an inner sense of confidence in his own ability to solve his own problems and satisfy his own needs.”

And:

“Leftists of the oversocialized type tend to be intellectuals or members of the upper-middle class. Notice that university intellectuals constitute the most highly socialized segment of our society and also the most leftwing segment.

The leftist of the oversocialized type tries to get off his psychological leash and assert his autonomy by rebelling. But usually he is not strong enough to rebel against the most basic values of society. Generally speaking, the goals of today’s leftists are NOT in conflict with the accepted morality. On the contrary, the left takes an accepted moral principle, adopts it as its own, and then accuses mainstream society of violating that principle.”

And:

“Art forms that appeal to [leftists] tend to focus on ... defeat and despair ... as if there were no hope of accomplishing anything through rational calculation.”

And:

“All of us in modern society are hemmed in by a dense network of rules and regulations. We are at the mercy of large organizations such as corporations, governments, labor unions, universities, churches, and political parties, and consequently we are powerless. As a result of the servitude, the powerlessness, and the other indignities that the System inflicts on us, there is widespread frustration, which leads to an impulse to rebel. And this is where the System plays its neatest trick: Through a brilliant sleight of hand, it turns rebellion to its own advantage.

Many people do not understand the roots of their own frustration, hence their rebellion is directionless. They know that they want to rebel, but they don’t know what they want to rebel against. Luckily, the System is able to fill their need by providing them with a list of standard and stereotyped grievances in the name of which to rebel: racism, homophobia, women’s issues, poverty, sweatshops… the whole laundry-bag of “activist” issues.”

I hope I don’t come off as “whiny” on this blog even though I know that for a right-winner, I do. And, well, the numbers reflect this reality. But that’s OK because in my heart of hearts I know that I am not whining, but actually systematically deconstructing an enemy system of thought and cope and building something better in its place.

I am both the whiner and the winner.

The reason why no one has heard of me is because I haven’t done (and don’t plan to, FBI) what the man I quoted above was put into prison for doing. But if he were getting started today and now, he would have been a frustrated blogger on Substack as well probably. Lacking the ability to blog at the time, he figured out a way to engage in “guerrilla PR” and that is why his ideas are taken seriously today.

That’s my pet theory anyway.

Keep these explanations in mind the next time you believe that Uncle Rurik has misled you and total Ukraine collapse is right around the corner. If this idea appeals to you, it might because you are a pro-Ukraine whiner (oh no, we’re losing again!) or a pro-Russian winner (are ya winnin’, son?) and you should try to become more aware of your psychological biases.
