The sheer amount of unbridled hate that I’ve been getting ever since Wagner marched on Moscow, proving one of my predictions right, yet again, has led to some soul-searching on my part. First, I made sure to lash out at my criticizers, just to make sure that they knew what utter contempt I held them all in, just in case they were new or missed the memo. But then after I had my fun, I started thinking again. See, thinking is the important thing that we should always make time in our day for.
I realized that what had happened was that the Z-NPCs had received a new script from ZAnon and that they were now on the hunt for Wagner traitors (me). As usual, I had stepped on a new talking point landmine, and was now suffering the consequences.
As simple as that.
Now, here’s the thing that you have to understand about your typical cognitive peasant. Basically, if you say that X won or X is winning or doing well or succeeding, this is interpreted by the NPCs to mean that you support X. So, almost a year ago, when I finally got around to reading the “doomers” in Russia who were warning that the Not-War was being fought by Moscow badly, I decided to adjust my positions to reflect this new reality that I had come to accept. I began to write articles trying to argue that Russia was losing the Not-War because of ruinous political and strategic decisions taken by the Kremlin elite, and this set off a pre-placed alarm in the heads of many Z-NPCs. They interpreted my new writing to mean that I supported the Zelensky government and NATO. No amount of me trying to explain myself did me any good. Although I did try. Oh my brothers, how your humble narrator tried:
It was at that point that people stopped linking me, former colleagues lashed out at me, and I started getting hate mail for the first time.
Now, some people, I think, are biologically limited and cannot conceive that a position as “nuanced” as mine can exist. That is, to be for a certain side, but to believe that this side is also losing. The fair-weather fans cannot conceive of someone supporting a position or a team that isn’t winning or who they don’t think is going to win at some point in the future. To them it makes no sense why anyone would ever do something like that.
Consider: it is a well-remarked on phenomenon that the vast majority of voters in any country decide on which presidential candidate they will support in the elections based on who they think will win, with the goal of sussing out the winner so that they can thereby join the winning side by voting for them.
Actually, even higher-IQ people do this.
I am reminded of the case of Anatoly Karlin, the former resident Russia blogger on Unz, who used to be Alt-Right in America and then a Russian Nationalist in Moscow. Once the SMO went south, he decided to join the winning team by embracing LGBTQIA+ and singing the praises of hostile anti-Russia NATO countries. There are many such cases for many such causes. People side with the winners.
It really is as simple as that.
Others are smarter, but they know that they can pretend to play dumb and sic the NPC mob on people like myself by calling me a traitor for daring to step out of line.
Both sides have enforcers like this. And both sides do this kind of enforcing.
For example, a few analysts on the NATO side got turned on quite viciously recently by their own online cyber-peons for deriding the execution of the long-awaited UAF counter-offensive by Kiev’s military command. Stating the obvious was seen as a rank betrayal of the sacred cause of Human Rights Freedom Happiness Democracy in the Ukraine. Needless to say, I am in the same boat and the same trouble with “my” side. Although, truth be told, I struggle to see what I have in common with propagandists being paid by either Western or Eastern spooks to promote deranged narratives to the gullible masses on either “side”. Funny enough, both sides would happily denounce me as a “Nazi” for thinking this way and sharing the truth about what is going on in the Slavlands on my blog. Lol.
This brings us to Wagner.
I have explained multiple times already that I have NOT yet accepted Prigozhin as my personal (war)lord and savior. But, I have also made the case that Wagner has won this battle against Shoigu and Putin decisively. What happens next is that the wires cross in the mouth-breathing man’s mind, their brains short-circuit and they believe that I am actually endorsing Prigozhin’s presidency and the overthrow of Putin or whatever. Also, their narrative handlers on Twitter and on other blogs got their marching orders from the CIA and the FSB, who are both promoting the same narrative now, to accuse Prigozhin of being a Western agent coordinating his actions with Kiev. This despite the fact that Kiev was caught flat-footed by his mutiny and it was over before they started making any gains in Zaporozhye. Before the mutiny began, actually, I was planning to write an article warning that the Russian line was not getting reinforced and resupplied for some reason by the MoD.
That’s not Prigozhin’s fault, I hope you understand.
As for Prigozhin himself, as I have stated multiple times, I cannot vote or support a half-lawyer in good consciousness. As for his past criminality, well, Shoigu has done far worse before and after he came to Moscow. He just never served any time. Prigozhin’s criminal record doesn’t concern me that much because the entire ruling post-Imperial and post-Soviet ruling class in the Slavlands was/is gangster to its core. I take it for granted at this point that the bald, lumpy hobgoblins in suits sitting in grand halls built by men far greater than any of them could be, are thieves, torturers, and murderers.
I simply ask that they do not be traitors to boot.
What worries me most about Prigozhin are the people who might be behind him. I talked about it here:
Now, here is what I see happening going forward.
Pay attention to this part, please, because I’m going to make yet another prediction that will come to pass, and which will set off another cycle of seething and vitriol directed my way when it does, naturally.
Take a look at these updates. First, the FSB has been told to come to heel:
MOSCOW, 27 June. /TASS/. The investigation into the case of the armed rebellion of the Wagner PMC, initiated by the Russian FSB on June 23, was terminated on Tuesday due to the cessation of criminal actions.
This was reported on Tuesday at the Center for Public Relations (CSP) of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.
"In the course of the investigation of a criminal case initiated by the investigative department of the FSB of the Russian Federation on June 23 under Article 279 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on the fact of an armed rebellion, it was established that on June 24 its participants stopped actions directly aimed at committing a crime. Taking into account this and other circumstances relevant to the investigation On June 27, the investigating authority issued a decision to close the criminal case," the FSB said.
And then Putin addressed the troops still loyal to him within the Kremlin palace. One of the good old boys from the early revolutionary days, Victor Zolotov, runs the National Guard, which will now be reorganized to fight Wagner.
Statements by the head of the National Guard Zolotov.
- We knew that we would win, the rebels would not have taken Moscow;
- We will introduce heavy weapons, tanks into the National Guard, this issue was discussed with the president;
- Zolotov did not rule out that Western intelligence agencies were working in the attempted rebellion
- the rebellion was inspired by the West and superimposed on Prigozhin's ambitions.
This is Zolotov now:
He might have Bolshevik blood in him judging from his last name “Gold” and his physiognomy. He is also routinely lambasted as being very dumb.
And this was him then, with Boris Yeltsin, atop the tanks, leading the revolution against the conservatives trying their best to hold the USSR together:
Now, I have spoken about the ”Deep State” that rules Russia before. And, if you want, I can add a little bit of depth to your understanding by explaining the concept of the “Deeper State” some other day.
Basically, the people who were pre-Putin-as-president who participated in power-politics in the 90s, looted the USSR, kow-towed to NATO and restructured the entire government along Western lines are the “Not-So-Deep State.” Zolotov is one of the original St. Petersburg Gang boys which is Putin’s extended Judo club, basically, which was formed by Putin’s famous “Hebrew sensei”, Anatoly Rakhlin.
I’ve written about them before:
And the “Deeper State”, a new term that I will use in the future, would have to be the pre-Yeltsin government that arranged for the implosion of the USSR in the first place to effect the Convergence agenda and which led to Putin and his gang taking power, and eventually merging with them.
Now, the reason why Shoigu and Putin and the “Not-So-Deep State” officials who created the modern RF status quo have decided to reorganize and rearm Zolotov’s men is because everyone (except the crayon-munchers in my comments section, apparently) saw what happened with Wagner. The current rank and file army stayed neutral during the mutiny, which is effectively the same as being on the side of Wagner given the situation.
In other words, the people who are telling you that Putin came out stronger for the crisis are lying to you. This was a total Wagner win, and, most importantly, a win for the people who backed Prigozhin. The Kremlin was shown to be weak and unable to control their own military or to punish rebels. Also, the showdown between Wagner and the "Not-So-Deep State (NSDS)” is now all set up to go down in the very near future. Putin and his friends are trying to shore up their power now and trying to buy time by playing nice and not reneging too much too quickly on the ceasefire. Hence calling off their dogs at the FSB, while announcing the formation of what amounts to a new army under the control of one of Putin’s oldest inner-circle allies, Zolotov.
Again, Wagner has NOT been dissolved. Prigozhin has NOT been arrested. Luka is NOT a friend of Putin or the Kremlin.
If you believe any of the above, you have been mislead. At best, all we have heard about Wagner being punished in any way is the MoD saying that they are getting ready to transfer heavy weapons away from Wagner and that they have high hopes that Wagner will cooperate. We will see. Wagner’s footprint in Russia will indeed almost certainly change. But this is not the same as “losing”. Let me know when the mass arrests, gulags, purges and so on begin.
Until then, most of you are living in a fantasy world. Come back to reality, please. I know you hate me for telling you the truth, but try to remember all the times that I was right in the past. Consider the possibility that your opinion, while valuable in its own right I guess, maybe, on a good day, is not as well-honed as what amounts to my professional craftsmen expertise in this field. If you disagree, feel free to point me to your successful prediction record and we can see how it compares to mine. Deal?
About that prediction: basically, there will be a showdown with Wagner down the line.
Clearly, very few people in Russia or the West are emotionally ready to accept just how precarious the NSDS’s hold on power has become. But unlike the mushy-headed masses who believe it is immoral to notice weakness among their social betters, the clever ones and the elite-in-waiting have already taken notice of the fact that:
The NSDS couldn’t keep an oligarchic spat contained
The NSDS needlessly escalated the situation
The NSDS blinked first and effectively caved to Wagner
The NSDS did not punish the mutiny, dropped all charges, gave them to Luka
The NSDS lost the support of the army
The NSDS lost support from a segment of the Russian population as well
Weakness abhors a vacuum. Strength rushes in to fill the gap. I think that Prigozhin will be a very influential political player going forward. He might even win the game of thrones outright. All we need is a head count to see who stand where before we can decide.
Again, simple.
The bottom line though is that if he or anybody else wants me to shill for them, they need to pay me and pay me well. In the case of Prigozhin, I’m the only guy writing in English that is pro-Russia, that isn’t bought off already and isn’t baying for his blood.
Who else you got lined up, P? Pickings are slim, aren’t they?
In the meantime, I will remain independent and neutral and reader-supported (go pick up a paid sub now, please). Also, as a curtesy to my beloved Stalkers, if I ever get offered a deal to sell out, I promise that I will let you guys know beforehand that I am making a deal with the dark powers in high places so that I get a chance to play at big boy politics for a while.
And that’s all I got for today.
I’m so behind on my work.
But I am stuck explaining everything extremely slowly to my casual readers, who don’t know anything about how politics work or what Russia is for that matter and who are accustomed to an entire lifetime of being tricked and fleeced by false prophets. They are getting withdrawal symptoms from me denying them their dose of copium and trying to force them to go cold-turkey off 5D narratives.
Don’t worry, it has to get worse before it gets better! You will come out stronger for it, trust me! Hang in there!
Comments for paid subs only until behavior improves.
Hey Rolo, getting hate mail is good. It means you’re getting noticed, and that people are getting riled up. Some are seriously bad, and some are just dumb – but it might just make some of the latter think.
Take a look at JCR latest. This guy has been right on almost everything during this war. For some weeks he was posting the question – where is the Russian army, and lately he came out with “Is there a Russian army at all?” At first it sounded crazy but when one starts to think, and look at videos of the action it starts to make some sense. All the resistance to Ukie advances comes from artillery and helicopter gunships or aviation. It seems like some front line trenches are manned by just a few men – about 6 for a hundred metre trench. They pull back immediately if arties or copters don’t do the job. Where the hell are the 320 000 that were mobilized to add to what was already in Ukraine, plus the 20 000 or so volunteers. And the 1000+ that are claimed to be joining up every week? And the conscript army, supposedly about 150 000+? All the actual fighting in the past year seems to have come from the Donbass militias and the Wagner. So, where the fuck is the Russian army – well it seems they’ve got helies, planes, artillery, but no bloody infantry? So does a real army actually exist? And if they don't exist who's getting their salaries, and the money for their housing, equipment, support? Is this money all just disappearing somewhere in the MOD, and eventually surfacing in some anonymous accounts in the Bahamas.? Maybe Wagner with a few thousand men and a few tanks could well have taken Moscow., not only because army wouldn't fight them, but perhaps because there actually isn't a real army at all.
Oh, and watch out for Jacob Dreizen (ref the comments discussion in your previous post). This guy has a weird history. He has worked for the Israeli’s and the US gov in some military capacity. He lives in Washington, works for the Federal govt in some now unspecified capacity. And has a ferociously pro-Russian anti-GAE blog under his real name, but never been cancelled or fired!!! My question is who does he really work for in the Fed govt –I'd suspect probably the FBI. He’s also a loudmouthed big talker – a bit like you, but at least you tend to be right a lot of the time and you don’t work for the US or Russian govts.
When the pandemic started I got so much hate from almost everybody for telling them that we are going to be really f up that I had to grow up 30 years for several months to handle my disappointment and frustration with everything. The same happened when the SMO started. I was running a small site with a few friends and I wrote an article telling everybody that Putin is probably a double agent, put by Kissinger to play some game with Ukraine until they are changing the financial system because the first thing they did is to exclude Russia from SWIFT. And next they started to pretend that they are so scared of "dedolarization". "Oh, why, why did that happen?" Anyway, I guess people do not understand the motivation because they are not seeking for truth. There are characters and spirits who value truth above all. Most people don't care to understand. It is just some sports game, your team, the other team and so on. And one must not be afraid of control opposition, trolls, agents or being wrong. The agents, misinformants, disinformants are everywhere. And sometimes even the MSM is telling the truth. If you pick only one source and believe "this is it, my precious, the Truth and the only Truth" you are lost.
