Now, having listened to the pilot, I have to say it's very impressive. You are more erudite than I expected, and very articulate in your presentation. Regarding archetypal exams of the secret police, as a genre, there are a few authors who come immediately to mind: Victor Davis Hanson has touched upon the subject in essays, but not to my knowledge in book form. The earliest accounts of secret police, I recall - if I recall correctly - are contained in Thomas Carlyle's "The French Revolution," regarding "Lettres de Cachet" - used both by Royalty and later by Robespierre during ' la Grande Terreur.' The efficacy of secret police is discussed in detail in Nicholas Farrell's "Mussolini - A New Life." Anyway, enjoyed your podcast, do more!

I had already noticed how the autocratic presidency the neoliberals designed for Yeltsin to push through "liberal reform" in the '90s after bombarding the Duma was now helping Putin respond to NATO provocations in the Ukraine. Some metaphors for how this ended up as blowback for the West: "boomerang," "hoisted on one's own petard," "dose of one's own medicine" and "live by the sword, die by the sword." "Karma." "Poetic justice."

I first found you at Unz -- I'll make sure to "like" when I'm done -- and want to thank you for the information that I have found only through your posts and newsletter updates. In terms of big picture, I wonder if you are aware of leftist critiques of the global struggle against the West, such as the book France’s Yellow Vests: Western Repression of the West’s Best Values. that Ramin Mazaheri, an Iranian living in France, is serializing at thesaker.is?

Leftists need to lay in the bed that they made as far as I'm concerned.

Fascinating. Look forward to more. What about the idea that the 'democracy' in the US is a kind of Disneyland stage show behind which oligarchic powers rule, and the 'autocratic' president is an agent of the oligarchy, most of the time?

All but the most primitive societies are ran by an elite minority, so yes even the do called Western Democracies are Oligarchy.

Liberalism is political philosophy unique to a certain tribes, with the specific tradition. Since not all nations develop at the same pace, forcing Liberalism using the American military might is akin to the Imperialism. The U.S. is in the late stage Liberalism, as we notice it's becoming more belligerent outward and especially toward its own people. I prefer efficient Autocracy over American proto-tiranny.

Notice the entire population of the Russian speakers are being denied any representation since the 2014. The territories the Russia is holding and eventually will take would in referendum vote universally for the succession from Ukraine. So if the real "democratic process" ever existed in Ukraine the result would be the same without the one soldier from the Russian federation stepping the foot in the Ukraine.

I ve been following you for a while. Very interesting commentaries. I'd like you to have guests like professor Tom Sunic, and Charles Hayward of the Worthy House.

Best wishes!

I want to commend you for the great work you're doing sir... My understanding of the power structure of Russia simple the Jews took over Russia in 1917 they never give up the power
