Here's a 5 minute clip of a Chabad leader boasting that Putin may not be good for Russians, but he is very good for the Jews.

Wow, talking about mind blowing. This was an outstanding discussion. I've heard a lot of these ideas before, but never put together in such a concise, easy to understand manner. Thank you guys. I am going to purchase a copy of the book now.

An outstanding podcast. Answered my earlier question "do you know anything..." and raised many more.

First of all, I really appreciate Guyenot's approach. Namely, that our conventional view of ancient history is disastrously wrong, and that we know much less than we think we do. And that given our current state of understanding, it's impossible to draw definitive conclusions about what really happened. Forgeries of ancient manuscripts are rampant, and all our accepted histories are based on ideological, religious and/or political agendas of the powerful. There are very few people in the field who even recognize how bad the situation is. Those who do, know that they better keep their mouth shut if they want to keep their jobs. Obviously, there is hardly any funding for chronological revisionists. The work is painstaking and tedious.

There are some sources of ground truth. Archaeological digs can provide real evidence for review, although there might be some fakery there too. Some manuscripts like the Bible (both OT and NT) were indeed copied by monks all over the ancient world, and the surviving traditions can be cross-checked for consistencies (as well as errors). So I think there's hope that eventually more accurate history will emerge.

If Dr. Fomenko has passed away, I'm very sorry to hear it. There is no indication to this effect on his official Russian-language website, chronologia.org, or anywhere else on the web that DDG could turn up. I hope he's OK.

But I agree with Guyenot's skepticism about Fomenko's results. Although Fomenko's work claims to be based in mathematics, it's easy to find debunks of the work written by other mathematicians, and IMHO the math is so bad that Fomenko couldn't possibly take it seriously. It looks like deliberate deception to me. Also, his re-construction of history is highly Russian-centric and seems to be very ideologically motivated, but I don't understand enough about Russian politics to know what faction he's with. I mean, I'm not sure if he's FSB, GRU, Bolshevik, capitalist oligarch, or something else.

I hate these "podcasts." Rambling speech is no substitute for the written word., Besides I don't hear well and very few people speak well enough to be worth hearing. G. Edward Griffin is a man who can speak well. There are damn few others.

Another good one, thank you Rolo.

Here's a free internet copy of Emmet Scott's book Guide to the Phantom Dark Age, laying out Illig and Heinsohn's ideas. The effect on early Islamic history is particularly interesting.

Ralph Ellis would also be an interesting guest. His claim that Jesus was a generation younger than conventionally believed and that he was a leader of the Jewish Revolt, as well as the great-grandson of Cleopatra and an heir to the Parthian throne, that Josephus was St. Paul, and that the Israelites were descendants of the Hyksos so that they turned Egyptian lore into the Old Testament, and that the Arthurian legends tie in to the Jesus story, annoys academics and Christians and Jews, so more power to him!

Here's his website. He sometimes answers comments.

imo this video documents the most consequential case of historical revisionism of all - both in the first century AD, and overall: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9w-xJfSOyc

Rolo, do you know anything about Anatoly Fomenko and his mentor(?), Nikolai A Morozov? I understand that Fomenko's chronological revisionism is very popular in Russia. He's a big professor mathematician at Moscow State University. His theory basically eliminates virtually the entire 700-year period of the Middle Ages, and overlaps Roman history with Russian late medieval. It's a far more extreme revision than Illig suggested.

Fomenko claims that his work is based on theories from NA Morozov. My suspicion is that Fomenko is some sort of spook and he's intentionally spreading a bogus version of chronology, intended to poison the well and discredit the real workers in the field, such as Morozov. As far as I know, Morozov's work isn't available in English, so I don't know what he had to say. Except via Fomenko and Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Revelation_in_Storm_and_Thunder

Be a bit cautious with Fomenko. He seems to have started with some good ideas but became increasingly absurd. He may be another materialist misleader. John Lamb Lash has a video, somewhere on his site debunking Fomenko and flat earthers.

Lash also has a sophisticated spiritual understanding of many forbidden topics. Here's his site:
