Released Azov Prisoners Return to Frontlines to Kill More Russian Soldiers

So, remember the outrage about the Azov prisoner swap for “pro-Russian” oligarch Medvedchuk?

Remember when Roman Abramovich, friend of the Kremlin, toured the prisoners in his private jet and fed them tiramisu? Such a close friend that he, in fact, knew about the SMO and got the privilege of moving his money early.

And, of course, you remember the pledges that were made and the promises by both sides that these men would no longer fight on the front?

British mercenary Aiden Aslin, who was captured in Mariupol and sentenced to death last year but was later released by Roman Abramovich, is back in Ukraine fighting in Bakhmut. It looks like Putin's dear Western and Ukrainian partners have deceived the Russian leader again.

The video itself is inconclusive, but several pro-Russian Telegram channels concur that the news of Aiden and other Azovers return to the war is legit.

And there you have it, folks.

Promises made, promises kept.

I only bring this up in the context of why the war is going to get nastier and prisoners are going to start dying more often. In the specific context of the execution video of a Ukrainian prisoner by Wagner, I pointed out that: “the real culprit for this incident is the Russian MoD’s policy of releasing some of the most heinous Ukrainian death squad members in dubious and uneven prisoner swaps.”

The original Mariuple deal was that the Azov prisoners, of which Aiden was a part, despite his protests to the contrary, would stay in Turkey until the war was over. But I predict that more news will continue to trickle out about the return of these fighters to Ukraine.

And the most egregious example of notorious prisoners getting released has to be the case of “Taira”, so far.

She is going to be honored as a hero or something in by the US State Department.

Ukrainian paramedic and volunteer Yuliia “Taira” Paievska became a laureate of the International Women of Courage (IWOC) award presented by the US State Department, the US State Department reports.

“Yuliia “Taira” Paievska has demonstrated extraordinary moral and physical courage in defending Ukraine against relentless Russian aggression. She provided medical treatment to Ukraine’s Revolution of Dignity protestors in 2013, and as head of Taira’s Angels, a volunteer unit of paramedics, she provided tactical medical training on the Donbas front lines from 2014 to 2018. Mrs. Paievska is best known for her work secretly filming and smuggling out videos documenting atrocities committed by Russia’s forces in Mariupol,” the release said.

The award ceremony will be held by US Secretary of State Anthony J. Blinken and First Lady Jill Biden on March 8 at the White House. It will be broadcast live on whitehouse.gov/live and state.gov.

“Russia’s forces detained Mrs. Paievska on March 16 as she attempted to evacuate women and children from Mariupol to Zaporizhzhia, despite her clear non-combatant status. During a three-month imprisonment, Mrs. Paievska lived in a tiny cell with 22 other women, losing 20 pounds and enduring torture and beatings. Moreover, the Kremlin’s propagandists falsely maligned her internationally as a fascist and war criminal. Yet Mrs. Paievska refused to be silenced, and since her release has compellingly advocated for Ukrainian democracy and independence both at home and abroad.” the release said.

Taira is accused of literally using the dead kids of a Russian woman that she murdered as her cover when trying to get out of Mariuple by the Russian side, just FYI. If this is true, and I think it very well might be, then she is a ghoul.

But no mention of that in the glowing profiles written about her.

Point being: she was released by the Russians too.

Dubious moves like this are why the “sixth column” [Saker term for treasonous Russian patriots] who are fed up with the MoD and the Kremlin continue to grow in numbers and support. So thats the silver lining to all of this, I guess.
