Alexander Porozhnyakov is a young, conservative grassroots activist in Russia. He’s been in the wider right-wing movement for a decade, which makes him a veritable veteran of right-wing Russian politics. Alexander Porozhnyakov He runs a media project called “Tsar’s Cross” that promotes Orthodoxy, Russian nationalism and criticizes Liberals in both civil society and the government. We met near the American Embassy, funny enough, at a very pro-Tsar and pro-White Russian Orthodox Church.
Regarding the state's grudging use of nationalist energy in the war effort, that's something to be wary of. It wouldn't be the first time the state tried to kill two birds with one stone by sending off troublesome nationalists to die in a meat grinder. Franco did essentially that to the Falangists when he sent them off to support Barbarossa in the Blue Division.
Great interview, full of insights into contemporary Russian politics. Exactly what we're lacking in the West. The plight of Russian patriots seems very similar to the US. We have no visible leader and no rising political party which could give birth to such. The difference (imo) is that Trump is a faithless phony and Putin is not.
The Orthodox political situation sounds as weak as the Roman Catholic one over here, tho maybe w/o the pedophilia embarrassment. My friend, a trad Catholic, likes Putin but considers Orthodoxy as schismatic, needing to convert. As a Gnostic, that just seems backward. More Western arrogance.

Does the media project "Tsar’s Cross" have a website?
