What Took You So Long, Copper?
Is Rolo going to get into trouble for discrediting the Not-War?
I’ve been gathering information for some more in-depth articles and it has been slow going.
I’ll be covering:
The immigration situation in more detail. Got some interviews done about that.
Prospects for Russian-Western conservative cooperation.
Oh, an article about Old Believers and their role in modern day Russia and the Bolshevik Revolution for the Stalkers.
Something about the repression of Russian Orthodoxy in Ukraine hopefully before Easter comes around.
Maybe something about the way Donbass is being administered right now (not well).
Other than that, there was some recent news worth a post just summing it all up.
Lavrov Says Grain Deal a Failure
Russia might pull out of the grain deal. Lavrov says that Russia has been tricked! Again!
The “grain deal” between the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN, extended in March for a third term, again turned into a failure to fulfill Russian conditions, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told TASS.
Although Russia harvested more than 120 million tons of grain last year, of which 40 million have already been exported, Lavrov said the Russian side of the deal is not being honored despite numerous calls to Western countries.
“Obstacles in the way of financing, logistics, transportation, insurance, export of Russian products remain and even become tougher,” Lavrov complained after talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlet Cavusoglu in Ankara.
He added that if there are no further changes in the way of Russian fertilizer and grain exports, the question will arise whether this deal is necessary in principle.
Looks like Russia’s esteemed Western colleagues have pulled a fast one on Lavrov! Again!
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, thrice and yet I still somehow keep my job as Russia’s top diplomat! Now that’s some powerful 5D lemme tell you!
The reason why the grain deal is important is because it was tied up with Russia’s abandonment of Snake Island, the legendary burial ground of Achilles, and a huge question mark for people following the war.
Basically, the Kremlin has tried to eat its cake and have it too: fight the Satanic West and yet make economic deals with them at the same time.
The guy who stands the most to gain from these grain export deals is Dmitri Patrushev, son of Nikolai Patrushev. The son is the Minister of Agriculture and the dad is a former FSB head. Both serve on the Security Council advising Putin and making key decisions about the war. It seems that the Patrushevs were willing to trade an island and grant passage to Turkish and Ukrainian vessels for grain money.
But even this scheme has fallen through though.
Now, it would be one thing if these Kremlin people were greedy. Russia can and has survived greedy politicians and self-serving spooks. But greedy and stupid? Well, the results speak for themselves.
Prigozhin Warns That Ukraine Has a Huge Army
The CEO of Wagner is, once again, sounding the alarm about the upcoming Ukrainian attack.
This was stated by the founder of PMC "Wagner" Yevgeny Prigozhin. “They have collected about 200, according to some sources, up to 400 thousand personnel,” Prigozhin said at a meeting of Cyber Front Z.
He called for taking the enemy seriously. According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are waiting for the moment when the soil dries out, and they are also waiting to receive "bells and whistles" - Western equipment.
Earlier, Reuters reported that Ukraine had trained 40,000 soldiers for the upcoming offensive. The secret Pentagon leaked to the network speaks of 9 brigades of 4-5 thousand people, which, among other things, were trained in NATO countries.
The purpose of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the land corridor of Russia to the Crimea. The Office of the President of Ukraine stated that they were ready to negotiate with Russia after the Armed Forces of Ukraine reached the borders of Crimea, but they did not rule out the forcible capture of the peninsula.
I had heard about the 40k troops as well, but months ago. This is the breakthrough force and the rest of the army will simply exploit said breakthrough. If the 40k manage to punch a hole through the Russian defenses, the rest (not all of them, but still) will pour through, and Russia will have to retreat. Also, the rest of the troops will pin the rest of Russia’s army along other points along the front, so that they can’t reinforce the area of the primary thrust.
Again: Unlike Russia, Ukraine has no qualms about fighting this war seriously and massing huge amounts of men.
Now, there have been persistent rumors from the pessimist camp in Russia and from enigmatic figures like Arestovych (and Prigozhin too, on occasion) that a “deal” is being worked out. That, basically, Ukraine first proves that they’re going to keep inflicting territory losses on Russia and that, they will then be able to approach the negotiations from a position of strength. As for taking Crimea, well, it is a natural stronghold and no invasion is possible until they cut off the land bridge, but the Ukrainians have been bombing the penninsula anyways. We already know that Donbass is not a red line for Russia. But now, it seems that Crimea is not a red line for Russia either. Nor is Belgorod for that matter.
Although, what can Russia do?
Kiev has already called their bluff and everyone with a brain has noticed Moscow’s reluctance to start waging this war seriously (more troops, war economy, buying weapons abroad) so why wouldn’t they keep up the aggression? If anything, this aggression will work in their favor when the negotiations begin.
Law Against “Discreditation of War Effort” Claims First Patriot
We hear a lot about the repressive measures that Kiev uses against its own population. But, so far, Russia hasn’t done anything comparable. The Permanent Liberal Opposition largely fled of its own accord. Yes, Ukrainians living in Russia have been harassed and in some cases imprisoned, but I haven’t seen anything in the way of a systematized persecution campaign targeted against them. Besides, it is not unreasonable to assume that there are anti-Russian Ukrainian passport holders living in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Russia’s large cities attract the worst Russophobes and being pro-Ukraine is just another way of saying that you are a Liberal and anti-Russian.
But the recent law against discreditation of the Not-War effort is a startling development. It has claimed its first patriot victim recently. The story is basically as follows: a Russian medic spoke at a gathering of patriots where he said that the situation with field medicine in Donbass was bad. The head of a department at the university where he was giving the talk then decided to report him to the spooks. Yuri Yevich is now in trouble with the new law and set to be tried soon.
Unsurprisingly, many Russians are outraged that their compatriot is about to be tried.
Here’s a short and sweet post that has been making its rounds on Telegram concerning the situation:
The case of Yevich becomes a litmus test in the definition of friend/foe. How can Yuri Yevich, with whom we fought in the neighboring trenches, who received the medal "For Courage" in the Northern Military District, discredit the Northern Military District? Can't a member of the SVO share about his experiences, mistakes of the command and other shortcomings during the course of hostilities?
The thoroughly rotten “turbo guards”, used their connections to attack Yevich, who for 9 years systematically and not for money, but conscientiously did his job - shared his knowledge of tactical medicine, trained hundreds of people, opened branches in twenty cities. I know few people like him, who so faithfully serve the cause of their Fatherland.
In the conflict between the soulless state machine and Yevich, any sane person should be on the side of Yurich.
I was worried about this happening eventually.
You see, as it becomes harder and harder to deny just how badly the Kremlin is waging this Not-War, the Right-of-the-Kremlin people are going to be targeted and silenced. Well, I am getting ahead of myself a bit here - one case does not prove anything yet and if the pushback is sufficient, the government might drop it. But you can see why the Kremlin would want the option to be able to clamp down on the “Sixth Column” as the Birdman used to call it, of patriots who actually fought and bled for their country.
Can’t have them start demanding better leadership, now can we?
If this veteran war hero and field medic can get hit by this new law, then the entire pessimist camp of Russian patriots who are fed up with how this Not-War is being run will be at risk of being arrested next. After all, they have said a lot more “inflammatory” things about the leadership in Moscow than this medic did.
And, come to think of it, by translating what they said and sharing it with you guys …
*KNOCK KNOCK*
What took you so long, copper?

Sorry for the bad news. Believe me, I’d like to share some good news once in a while. But the closest thing that I can find is basically more bad news only for the Ukrainians. Corruption, people getting beat up for Russian sympathies, just really horrible stuff. But I guess its good news somehow?
As for Russia, well, there is always the typical news-slop about a new zoo opening up somewhere or some kids sending letters to the soldiers or a hero dog saving someone from a fire.
Do you really want me to write about that though?
When I started writing this blog I was excited about the expected reforms. But, again, since the initial decapitation of prominent Liberal figures, literally no one of any note has been fired. And that’s really what we are all waiting for at this point - some kind of recognition or political will from Putin demonstrating that he is aware that changes need to be made.
The nightmare scenario I see playing out going forward is this:
Ukraine scores some more victories and enters into negotiations with Russia from a position of strength
Moscow moves to clamp down on Right-of-Kremlin figures before they can gain any steam in voicing their displeasure
NATO continues tightening the noose around Russia while the Kremlin focuses on appeasement, buying for time, suppressing patriotic forces at home
Another war further down the line against a weakened Russia
There are, however, alternative scenarios that could play out if we are lucky. All of them require the patriots being able to claw some more influence and power away from the current elite in power though.
Or, alternatively, the US blundering into a war with China or Iran that diverts their attention elsewhere. I honestly hope that a massive war with China starts tomorrow. Sorry, not sorry. I don’t go in for this “suffering, martyred Russia” bullshit. Let someone else bleed for this multi-polar world of happiness and harmony for once.
How are the Russians going to arrest you when you don't live in the Slavlands any more? If I were you, I'd be more worried about the long arms of the Five Eyes.
Is it possible that Russian patriots have more in common with American "patriots" (including such as myself, a former Democratic Party sympathizer and likely RFK Jr voter) than we do with either Putin or the Neocons, with their little ballet dance of a fake war?
Murz was saying yesterday what I've been saying in the comments constantly.
https://youtu.be/MDPc8Bvrx8o
Any bad peace and Putin is done. I don't see the Kremlin being able to spin defeat as the new victory and in the interview there he says that the liberals will overthrow Putin. He states correctly that the patriots are all at the front and the only people in Moscow with the means and cohesion to get rid of Putin is the Liberals. Murz was explaining this in the context of why he doesn't support revolution right now despite disliking the current authorities but this aligns with my general suspicions perfectly.
I think the court liberals that Putin has kept around are not only just trying to sabotage the war for financial/ideological reasons but they might very well be banking on a coup as well by getting Putin to be the face of a bad peace. The shitlibs do still have a decent stranglehold on the Russian media and in the event of a new Brest treaty and Russian national humiliation they very well can mobilize the media against the Kremlin.
Furthermore the Ukrainians dont even want peace and even if the liberals maneuver Putin into surrendering there is no chance the Ukrainians will stop and Washington won't force them to. That is the Ukrainians will lunge and grab up as much of Russia as they can after a surrender and Zog wont interfere or force them to give it back. Via that sort of post surrender back stab you can set the disintegration of the RF into motion and of course the liberals would be fine with that.
Basically Im starting to seriously suspect a concerted effort to maneuver Putin into committing political suicide by sabotaging the war and feeding him BS about how all is fine. Tartarskys murder comes to mind.
And Yevich isn't the only patriot the spooks are harassing:

Ukrainian bloggers complained to Russian prosecutors about a Russian journalist. And the Russian prosecutors actually responded. His possible crime is being too anti Ukrainian. Fvcking incredible. Russian prosecutors will literally respond to Ukrainians whining about Russians being too anti Ukrainian.
Another example of the parallel Ukrainian and Russian universes:
https://t.me/TELEKANALSTALINGRAD/17462
Not only will Russian prosecutors eventually respond to Ukrainians complaining about Russians being too anti Ukrainian but the study of the Ukrainian language might become fairly common in Russian public education. Words absolutely fail me. But just imagine that given those 2 examples, Russian prosecutors harassing a Russian journalist on behalf of Ukrainians, and the Ukrainian language becoming a part of Russian school curriculum that there still people out there, whether 5D special ed wizards or blue checkmark shitlibs that think the people who run Russia are actually waging a serious war against Ukraine.
