You don't have to necessarily have to actually focus on the sound. Just let it wash over you. That's why they call it a sound bath. Couple it with some Yin yoga before and yoga nidra and you'll be there. Don't over think it and again find the right therapist for you.

The Putin situation reminds me a bit of Lyndon Johnson when the Vietnam War was just heating up. Johnson didn't want to be known as a President who lost a war. But, he had other plans for his Presidency, like a big social justice push. So, his tendency was to spoon feed the fighting, just enough to keep from losing, but not enough to make waves in the US or, heaven forbid, actually win the war. (Not that the US has a right to determine the government of another country). Eventually, spoon feeding a war machine blew up and he had the worst of both worlds: a thoroughly disrupted domestic social and economic situation, and a full-blown war with no chance of winning.
I'm getting the impression Putin had a plan to threaten Ukraine into a neutrality with an easy growl. The West and NATO (perhaps not as stupid as The Duran and Martyanov make them out to be) torpedoed his plan and he had no real alternate. The Russian economy is doing pretty well, so Putin would rather not rock the boat, but the hot potato is still in his hands.
