Good News! Margarita Simonyan Is Very Impressed By the Progress of Putin's SMO!

I think I owe my readers an apology!

Here I thought things were slow and gruesome on the front. It turns out that I was mistaken though! RT’s top info-patriot came out to correct the record and insist that all was going well and according to the plan. Here:

It is sad to see how far she’s let herself go after Riley Slavsquat cut her off so abruptly.

Some women just can’t handle that kind of rejection easily, I guess.

OK, yeah, so I honestly just wanted to make fun of Margarita today when I saw her spray tan featured on Nakanune’s header lol (they really hate her) but it occurs to me that this bit of news is important because Margarita is now saying one of the quiet parts out loud for some reason and that is worth commenting on.

See, I’ve alleged that domestic Kremlin propaganda is sourced on simply reading alarmist reports from Western media and promoting them as proof of how well their policies are working. Either that or they take Western “experts” like Ritter, Johnson, Macgregor, Raevsky and so on who are actually just spooks and writing headlines like, “Western experts agree that it’s so totally over for Ukraine lmao”. Then the aforementioned experts translate these articles that were written based on what they had said into English and claim that these reports are insider Russia information.

It is like a philosophical clockwork orange that is wound up and keeps cycling on and on.

At least I think that my metaphor works.

I don’t really know what a clockwork orange actually is, but what I wrote sounds right so we will stick with it.

I’ve explained that the alarmist headlines from the West are total bullshit several times already. My latest “prediction” ended up being vindicated. We were hearing about how a great tragedy was about to befall the Kievan government’s war effort.

And yes, 200 some square kilometers were taken by Russian forces in the north because Kiev embezzled all the money for putting up defenses there and that is very funny indeed, sure.

But … well … that’s literally it though. Nothing else happened. There was no follow-through even though, apparently, the north was wide-open this whole time and even regular Telegram bloggers knew this (let along the Russian MoD) and still nothing was done, really.

Even if the little townlet of Chasov Yar is taken by Russia by the end of the summer, well … OK then, great … but what difference does that make, like, at all?

It seems to me that it would make no discernible difference in any strategic sense whatsoever.

And just in case you thought that something big was brewing in the north, a huge new Russian operation to de-nazify Kharkov or something, well, let’s see what Putin had to say about that. Here:

Why is it that when I say that there won’t be any big offensives to take cities or surround the UAF or to take Odessa, I am condemned as a traitor to Russia by Westerners?

In contrast, when Putin says it, well, that’s just what the new patriot position du jour becomes, immediately, overnight. Putin could literally come out and say, “actually, we are giving up Rostov and Volgograd to Ukraine too and bringing in 40 million Africans with Ebola into Russia to “de-nazify” the Russian people” and that would become the new anti-globalist position overnight for these people. Tens of thousands are already on their way, the millions will follow shortly.

It is remarkable really and no, I don’t think I am exaggerating — the postmodernists are right, actually, and reality (or rather people’s perception of it) is literally INFINITELY malleable so long as you have power and money and the media at your disposal.

Both sides, as you can see for yourselves, are cooperating in the creation of a unified media narrative. The West writes reports claiming that it is all over for Kiev (send more money, please!) and Margarita reads these reports to put them up on RT. These reports are then picked up by the “alternative” bloggers as proof that Russia is winning bigly. And, by that point, they finally reach us, the undiscerning, naive marks.

We think we are getting insider Russian general reports, but we are really just getting leftover infoslop from the same sources of disinfo that we thought we were avoiding. So long as it is given a thin veneer of patriotism on top though, like a spray tan perhaps, orange preferably, then we don’t notice the deception.

But more and more people are seeing through the grotesque paint job.

Through to the horror hiding beneath the pretty lies …

We have to start learning to resist the allure of the patriotic Christian orange spray-tan, folks. I know it can be hard … God knows I just feel saliva start pooling up and then just cascading down uncontrollably past my lips whenever I see Margarita in the news. Mm! Pull it together, Rurik!
