I will only read as will most people I know. Podcasts/videocasts are completely inefficient -- I have to give up one minute for each minute you speak. Just do not have time for that kind of inefficiency. A surprising number of us agree.
Having said that, some people are aural rather than visual learners and prefer the podcast format. So if you have the time/inclination of course you should do it. But I beg you, get an auto-transcriber and transcribe the podcast and post the two together. The autotranscribers are inexpensive and pretty accurate. I can live with the 3% errors -- and can virtually always know what was actually said. Then you satisfy both communities.
I do not have an author's stack, so do not know the details. But most of the authors to whom I have brought this up have quickly been able to add it. Here is one (Ian Miller) who is a great guy and who would be happy to help you I am sure. https://ianmsc.substack.com/p/episode-19-laura-dodsworth-substack?s=r
I usually prefer written info because it's more condensed and coherent, less redundant and rambling. Love your writing. Keep it up. Don't mess w/ a good thing. Don't dilute your established appeal by going for the cult of personality. OTOH if you're a good speaker, good voice and are working from a script that might work also.
It seems to be the way in America. People w/ not much original to say, but decent looks and a penchant for socializing build up a following by vlogging w/ their friends.
I personally like to consume information by reading, however, to reach a wider audience podcasting appear to be quite popular.

Just one man's opinion.

I've always wanted to start a cult of personality, but I doubt a podcast is the best way to do that.

Do it. 20-30 my minute is good choice. Everyone can spare some time for that.
Go on, i would gladly listen and spread
Hell yea, I'd listen to it.
Do it.
literate commentary is my choice...
I enjoy the writing - I wouldn’t want a podcast to replace it - but it might make a nice addition to my listenings
