Arestovich himself would probably give you a laughing emoji for that one.

The occasional tirades against the hapless peasantry of Ukraine that he drops are honestly harsher than anything you would get from Soloviev, Lavrov, Simonyan, etc etc. Than you have the frankly hilarious fact that he flatly refuses to speak Ukrainian in a country where speaking Russian might as well be illegal. I've read some speculations that Arestovich may be positioning himself to be a leader that is acceptable to Moscow in a post war Ukrainian rump state but I feel like Arestovichs disdain for the Ukrainian identity would actually make him unacceptable to Moscow if anything and he is smart enough to know that.

As for weather any of Arestovichs former nazibolish/Duginist convictions were true I think they were but no longer are. I already posted this quote from him from 2009 once before but since it's relevant to the conversation I'll throw it up again:

My guess is he once, maybe around 20 years ago identified with the Russian world, perhaps when he was Ukrainian GRU he didn't even see himself as anti Russian. Being a genuinely smart enough guy who saw the world for what it was as evidenced by the above quote he knew the RF was a house of cards. Following that awakening the only natural intellectual route open to him was the path of disillusioned nihilism and Arestovich definitely raidiates disillusioned nihilism.

He has contempt for the Ukrainian hapless peasantry that stubbornly insist on being lied to and led to the slaughter, he has total contempt for Moscow as well but it's expressed much more subtly. That is he knows damn well what he says about the Ukrainian authorities applies to the people running Russia as well and this is proven by the fact that Russian patriots express a low key admirations for Arestovich that they never express for the Kremlin. The critiques that Arestovich makes of Ukrainians and Kiev are critiques that would never come from Kremlinites. Ever. And it needs to be said again, Arestovich knows that, he knows what he is saying would never be acceptable to Moscow and would never make him any friends amongst the feudal oligarchy. He doesn't care what they think anymore than what Ukrainian peasants think. Personally I would be very interested to hear Arestovich speaking frankly about the Russian authorities one of these days. On his telegram he has posted tons of mundane and banal nonsense about how Putin personally is trying to impose his will on Ukraine via murdering children but this strikes as analogous to Ivan Karazamov publishing pro Orthodox church tracts that he himself didn't even remotely believe in but the clergy quite liked. His brother Aloysha who was a genuine believer didn't hold it against him at all and further more Aloysha and Ivan loved each other as brothers all the same.

Imo the ability to churn out nonsense you don't even believe in at all one day than dropping massive truth bombs with a smirk on your face about how peasants prefer pretty lies while being led to massacre the next is a symptom of complete disillusioned nihilism. Arestovich is a modern Dostoevsky character.

Forgive me for being totally off topic here but this post is so outrageous and illustrative of the absolute state of the RF and it's attitude towards Patriots that I feel compelled to share it here. TLDR is a volunteer from I presume part of the liberated territories where referendums were held to join Russia was maimed in battle. His passport was lost and now he is fucking forbidden from going to Russia proper for medical care. Furthermore he is receiving no benefits for his wounds. The dude is confined to a wheelchair and minus an arm and the beuracrats are happily pissing on him.

Meanwhile Russia is importing every last Azeri, Kazakh, Tajik etc etc plus their families who want to colonize the country. Plus Ukrainian DRGs, assassin's and saboteurs have no problem getting into Russia.

Feels really bad. But yeah shame on Strelkov for saying that the authorities are treating vets like shit.

It's a big club. The elites in US and Russia follow the same script, the conflict seems to be just one big game to them. Neither side commits and neither side makes any gains so the conflict goes on forever (or at least for many many years). Tax dollars get funnelled to various dark channels and they advacne their various agendas.

The policy employed by Washington from the beginning of the war has been supporting Ukraine โ€œfor as long as it takes.โ€ Whether that was ever a good idea or bad, Iโ€™ll leave to debate another time. What is important here is that the policy did not produce an outcome beneficial to either Kyiv or Washington and now must evolve to acknowledge new realities.

No one can claim the United States didnโ€™t give Ukraine every chance to find out if it could succeed on the battlefield, as we provided literally thousands of armored vehicles, millions of shells, missiles, and bombs, and training and intelligence support โ€“ along with scores of billions in other aid. But that help did not produce a Ukrainian victory and it is now time to set new policies in light of current realities. The last part of this series will explore what Washington can do now that can mitigate the failures and produce the best outcome possible for the United States and Ukraine.

Now what could Davis be hinting at? NATO boots on the ground perchance?

No doubt, Washington is chronically sick about keeping the entire world at war, and for the same reasons Israel (Mossad) is always so โ€œinvolvedโ€ beyond itโ€™s dumpy, sprawling boarders in other countyโ€™s affairsโ€”particularly in the not-war between Russia & Ukraine, and all the turmoil within Iran, but prettily much all of the territories between Syriaโ€ฆall the way to Afghanistanโ€”where Washington, U.S. just recently abandoned/dumped off over 10 billion in military assets into the hands of at least three CIA/Mossad-created terrorist groups, again.

At this point, Iโ€™ve totally lost count of all the built up and evolving American military bases & spy-ops facilities scattered throughout the world over the past ten years, costing how much?? Meanwhile, the โ€œleft and rightโ€ fight-club constituencies of America are set up by AIPAC psyops professionals (who will not-so-cleverly blame Russian interference, again, and the media will parrot that narrative, again) as America begins another money-driven politically-divided campaign battle over how fast my country must go bankrupt-to-death, again. Itโ€™s as if the entire world is being โ€œforced to repeatโ€ the early 1900โ€™s; a replay of WWI & WWII; a real self-fulfilling end-of-times dystopian 1984โ€“Hunger Games movie combo being evolved.

No doubt, the territory of Washington, United States of English Royalty is doing everything in itโ€™s power to foment another world war, I believe to kill off both Russia and the USA this time, for good, and the sheep cannot, do not or will not refuse to participate, it seems. No conscientious objects (I mean objectors), yet, just real false-pride waring believers.
