NATO and the West do not argue in good faith. Russia should take all of the Ukraine, and then nuke London and Washington DC.

Real Americans will cheer these happy events.

The USA usually does not have wars during a presidential election cycle, we are now entering one.

Russia did not create a real reserve, like the US National Guard, over the past year. Why? 100,000 more men might become handy, having them formed in low cost p/t units would be an option to use. But no.

Perhaps Russia's political class has decided that it prefers conducting business with the "Anglo-Saxons" over quasi-fighting them: https://www.kommersant.ru/doc/5838792.

Just days shy of one year into this mess - I hope your prediction is true.

But.... has the US squeezed enough lemonade out of this lemon? Not so sure.

Of course, PLENTY of opportunity to launder more $$ thru US Taxpayer-financed "reparations" ..........

A backroom deal can -imo- be equated to a NATO victory. Can Russia in its current from survive a backroom deal?

Who knows the whole truth? No one really does - but seems to me that MANY (inner circle, military folk, peasants) are weary of this ... SMO>

All parties must find a way to save face thru the process - but find a way to exit this ordeal.

This has pretty much been a " NATO victory " from the start. Nothing will change that.

Time to cut losses and move on, from the point of view of Russia and the Proxy state - er, I mean, Ukraine.

I don't think Putin or the Russian leadership is quite that stupid or gullible actually. They may be crooks but crooks don't last very long in any scenario unless they are also pretty shrewd. Following Angela Merkel's letting the cat out of the bag about the Minsk accords (i.e., they were a feint to buy more time to arm Ukraine), Putin must surely know that you cannot trust any sort of deal with Washington who will surely try to do the same thing again. Any treaties or agreements here can only ever be a temporary truce to provide breathing space to refresh and re-arm Ukraine.

The heavy inference that Putin and the West collaborated on this whole war as means of benefiting Jewish lawyers is really too bonkers for words.

Backing off now instead of full war economy and deployment of troops and pretending that any agreements with the West, who have proven over and over that they cannot be trusted, would be sheer folly and the eventual end of Russia. Claims of betrayal and victimhood would fall on deaf ears. Putin just isn’t that stupid.

Your posts depict the power struggles and different players and that we don’t really know who is ultimately at the top of the controlling pyramid and maybe they are Satanists too and not fully human. However if the deep state oligarchs have their way, the end goal is NWO with destruction of ALL nation states. And If the level of corruption and unwillingness to fight for sovereignty in Russia is as bad as it is in the US, the situation indeed looks very bad for the peasants. If so, we are doomed as a 3D civilization. Then the outcome becomes metaphysical since life on Earth will be intolerable. But the 5D analysts remain hopeful and never mention the internal power struggles.

Agreements are always temporary - point isn't whether the West is trustworthy.

It's whether Putin thinks this is the best he can get, and why.

Same with Minsk they weren't psychologically prepared to face the West, and still aren't.

I doubt that the neocons, or the "chosen few," in Washington, D.C., will permit Putin to deescalate. The likelihood of it, in my opinion, is slim following Nuland's "Russia regime change", the Carnegie lecture, and Kamala Harris's speech in Munich. I also think that Russians themselves would be indignant.

If there is a cease-fire now, that means the Ukraine lost land AGAIN after provoking Russia. Less likely to provoke again. Russia gets water for Crimea and lots of cheap waterfront property in a mild climate. The Kremlin wants people to move out of Moscow and St. Petersburg, here is the opportunity. Less Ukrainians now due to refugees. If Russia concentrated on just a land grab based on pro-Russia voting maps instead of whatever the hell they were doing, they would of got a lot more land. Before the war, the average pro-Russian web surfer thought that was what they were doing.

So, Russia would not come out empty handed, but wasted what could of been again.

Anything can happen, but it would be incredible to me, if Russia bailed out now. There would be a shout of triumph in Ziocon land, and the arming and support of Ukraine would accelerate. Only a clear Ukrainian defeat can stop this now, and it is still up in the air whether the US would initiate an all-out war ... when they have built up enough strength in Europe to do so.

" All we have is a few tactical level actions around Bakhmut and Ugledar that, even if they were successful, would be inconclusive and not change anything, really. "

Food for thought.

If one was to run a " not war " aka " theater" one would like to keep the hostilities in a relatively small area , Bakhmut and Ugledar , and use disposable troops mainly Chechens, units from the various 'stans, hapless Ukrainian male conscripts, misguided volunteers and mercs, " throwaway " Russians from the Donbass and LPR, and disposable Wagner convicts. Occasionally, you would throw in some regular troops to keep up appearances. You would also limit the use of your valuable air assets while utilizing the oldest equipment feasible i.e. old tanks, armored vehicles. Finally, you would call your " not war " a Special Military Operation.

To you people, Strelkov is a Ukrainian sleeper cell.

Save your scorn for the people who deserve it.

Also, you're a Bible-thumper. No wonder you take issue with my blog.
