Really enjoyed your previous talk with Iain, he is one of the few people able to unemotionally asses the situation and grasp the bigger picture. Haven't listened to this one yet but I'm looking forward to it.

Curtis Yarvin is just annoying and purposely writes in an unclear way.

It seems the stupids have taken over.

I think it is why wokeism is pushed - it enables people who are barely midwits with little to no technical competence (even extending to basic comprehension of language) to climb the ladder. Of course they would love a post truth era - no objective standards to fail.

All that is needed is join the narrative and tear down the established order as their "great mission". There is no ultimate goal, they have no plan that will work in practice going forward. They are essentailly parasitic, even vampiristic - blinded by greed and making it to the big time. Being promoted way over their pay grade makes them giddy and convinces them they are on the right track. Just look at the stupid in the eyes of someone like Kamalah Harris.

Is "The Cabal" really in control? Having truly stupid people as underlings is not without risk. I'd rather Moriarty was really running things as one could work within the an intelligent, if corrupt, system.

Stupid people are really dangerous.

Post Script:

I've seen the same dynamics play out on local committees on a minor scale.

Wannabes are everywhere -the desire for status is inversely proportional to capability.

Great talk. Sigh... it really does boil down to one malignant swath of the human race wanting to control the rest of us, whereas the "rest of us" just want to be left the hell alone. Stupid... the parasite race's big, grand ideas and agenda ... very stupid, and by now, very boring. That said, because they never stop, never rest, we ignore their agenda at our own peril. Yay for "peasant solidarity"... we the "little" ungovernable wild ones... and hurray for our irrepressible humanity!

A true Moriarty would have had a big cull 50 years ago.

As it is any "controllers" won't enjoy ill-gotten gains. The biosphere is collapsing on multiple fronts.

A couple of questions occurred to me. The planners (autists? oligarchs?) want to reduce all influence and productivity into commodity tokens which can be bought and traded. Previously, influence and money were two different things, though there was some overlap. The token concept totally makes money the key to all power. That is such an obviously dumb idea it's surprising anyone but a complete autist would take it seriously.

Another question is where are the complete control freaks going? Let's say you achieve the fantasy: 15-minute cities, complete digital control of finances and communication, complete social credit manipulation. The schools will teach what you want and the media will say what you want. What then? Can that appeal to anyone with an IQ of more than 85? Can you imagine a more boring world? The joy of scientific discovery is eliminated because science takes a poor second to social value. Being on top of that dung heap seams the most boring job in the world.

Has anyone heard of “The Day Tapes”? Sage Hana’s substack mentions them frequently. I think they’re probably applicable to this podcast.

They’re four hours long in total and were given in 1969. I got through 25 mins of the first one and it was something else alright. 😬

Here are two links for them:

discredited himself by saying ai is bollocks. WRONG.

I asked ChatGPT if it could give me a summary of the evidence that the Covid vaccine may be unsafe. It replied "Studies show the vaccine is safe and effective". AI can answer questions like "What is the golden ratio and to what uses is it put?" If you think AI can emulate judgement, you're going to crash and burn.

i don't know what you are trying to say here. you think chatgpt is dumb because it said vaccines are safe and effective? lots of (intelligent) liberals say that. obviously, i disagree but i think it's kind of ridiculous to say that anyone with a contrary opinion is dumb.

ChatGPT, like you, answered the question it wanted to answer, rather than the actual question. The question was "what is the evidence showing the Covid vaccine may be unsafe?" I didn't ask for a judgement on the matter. Yes, I think ChatGPT is a tool of the chattering classes that use memes rather than thought for discussion. If you rely on AI for anything other than thoroughly-modeled process tracking or information recall, you're putting yourself in the hands of an idiot.

that's because it has been fine-tuned to give that response by its creators. i don't see how that makes it dumb.

"it has been fine-tuned to give that response by its creators" That's exactly my point. It is a parrot, not a thinking mechanism. Real intelligence uses its own logical mechanisms to come to independent conclusions. In this case, I didn't even asked for a conclusion. I merely asked for evidence supporting a particular assertion. Any lawyer should be able to handle that. Just because there is evidence doesn't mean there is proof. But, the AI boggled that distinction. When AI is used to fly a plane, I'll give you my seat.

ok but that doesn't mean the underlying technology is dumb. you asked it a question on which there is a lot of political controversy and so its creators deliberately muted it on this point. ask it something non-political and it'll give you something fairly balanced.

also, think of all the stuff it can do (e.g. programming)
