When he posted that a few days ago I thought he was just talking about satellite recon but he was apparently saying that before the start of the SMO that nobody had actually leaked the whole plan in detail to the US so therefore the Americans were wrong footed and panicky at first. But once the US had reliable moles leaking everything from MoD there wasn't a single Russian operation that succeed smoothly. The victories after Mariupol were bloody and slow. His reference to Vinnitsa is a Russian missile attack that made the US panic and warn all citizens to leave the country. The guy who does the channel here just assumes that for whatever reason that attack wasnt leaked ahead of time and the US panicked for a few hours.

The USA has lots of enemies, they cannot even take down Venezuela, Nicaragua, or Iran. Several US Senators and Fox News called for bombing Mexico. Russia screwing up Ukraine in 2014 and a mediocre performance in 2022 is not the same as the USA getting world hegemony. Brazil's top export market was the US, now Brazil export 3 times as much to China. China's economy is the largest in the world by PPP and is rapidly growing. The USA was 50% of the world's economy, now it is closer to 25%.

I think people focus too much on the military, particularly when it's not an all-out war. The military usually serves the interests of the political, and the politician with most influence on events in Ukraine is President Putin. His style is minimalist, as shown by his intervention in Syria, where he made a bold move, propped up the Syrian government, helped them regain control over most of their population, but would not fight the Turks or Americans to obtain the whole country, settling for a Russian military base in the Eastern Mediterranean and the acquiescence of a regional ally. It has been said that he tries to ameliorate problems rather than eliminating them. We don't hear about Syria anymore although the Turks and Americans continue to occupy and loot parts of the country. It looks as if he is adopting the same approach in Ukraine.
After the failure of the initial bully-rush to knock over the Ukrainian government and occupy the main cities with the help of Medvedchuk's opposition party - nipped in the bud by Zelensky (although it succeeded excellently in the south, gaining them what they probably most wanted, the canal bringing water to Crimea and the 'land bridge' to the rest of Russia ) - it looks as if the Russian leadership settled for a long slow grind, particularly after the lack of troops forced them into humiliating retreats.
At this point it looks as if the Russian government does not want to win quickly, even if they could. They are weakening NATO militarily and politically, depleting it's stocks of weapons and munitions, and demonstrating that Russia can out-produce and out-fight it. Obviously they think that time is on their side. They may be right considering the rapid collapse of American power and prestige and the failure of their economic and financial sanctions against Russia resulting in the recognition by much of the rest of the world that greater economic and military and political power lies on the side of Russia. There are also increasingly loud predictions of financial collapse looming for America. Col. Macgregor thinks that Russia is prepared for a thirty month campaign in Ukraine. By then America may be much weaker and too preoccupied by internal problems to do much in Ukraine - or elsewhere.
Of course politicians are not at the top of the food-chain. They have owners. Recently it was reported that 58.6% of Russian wealth is owned by 1% of the population. By no coincidence we may be highly confident that the Russian 1% is closely related in interests and ethnicity with the 1%s who control Ukraine and the USA and most of the rest of the world. It was interesting to see that the war in Ukraine is not allowed to affect the profits of the Russian oligarchs, nor the interests of the American corpocrats who have obtained control of most of Ukrainian agriculture and want to export grain through Odessa.
It was both amusing and astonishing to see one ethnic oligarch overrule the President of Russia and cancel one of his publicly declared objectives for the SMO. No 'denazification' of Ukraine for you! Forget all that guff about trying and executing the Azov neo-nazis, they must be released and returned to Ukraine in a prisoner exchange. Don't you know that they are servants of the Ukrainian ethnic oligarchs who recruited and paid them until they could br put on the state payroll, you can't inconvenience them! Remember your own position Putin. You and your men of power are in an analogous positions to those 'neo-nazis' - you also are just guard dogs for the ethnic oligarchs who own Russia and use you as a front to control the populace, ( rather as they used the Soviets ). You are on a longer leash than their other front-men like Biden (or Trump), so you can be a bit patriotic to appease the proles as long as it doesn't inconvenience the owners, but don't imagine you can really be free! I had no idea that the Russian Constitution allowed that! Maybe it's in the unwritten part.

Russia might dissolve even if they win in the Ukraine. The Ukraine may be an accelerant for that though (even in the case of a win). Just like the Ukraine is an accelerant for the decline of the west.
Top it off with a US-China war and both of them can accelerate even faster. Because China does have its demographic and resources problems too.
Right now, it looks like the whole world is in a race to the bottom.
We might get a multipolar world in any case, with or without a win in the Ukraine. And nobody would like it.
