However, only Russia possessed the codes to use them so they were useless to Ukraine. I guess a critical question is can the Ukrainians develop a bypass mechanism so the bombs can be detonated through an alternative process that bypasses the code? Seems to me the neocons would love to give Ukraine the ability to use captured Russian nukes without leaving US fingerprints on them.
Ukraine is a war economy now - it's product is war on Russia and the customer is the West. The only way out is foreign aid and investment to rebuild their regular economy, which depends upon Ukraine completing the war to their customer 's satisfaction.
